now idk about other people but i work 9 hrs a day and when i get home i wonna play me some neverwinter now my idea night would be log on see how the guild is progressing, get a few guildies do the dailies than grind seals, but if me and some friends try and do dailies it takes all night long because we have to do them MULTIPLE times imo that is not a
"DAILY" and the worse part is there is like no time for grinding seals, so now that i rather have gear over astral im forced to skip dailies it would be real nice if me and my friends could do the "DAILYS" ONE TIME get are next to nothing astral and move onto dungeons and other fun stuff.. please fix this im sure in ur eyes it isnt broke there is plenty of time to finish dailies and do other things in a whole day but ya know most of us have jobs and dont have 15 hrs a day to play i get about 7 at most and it kills me to spend 90% of my time doing ur so called dailys
I don't think they actually expect you to do "dailies" daily.
Well, given that the 24k daily AD refining is/will be basically the only new AD entering the economy (countering all the various diamond "sinks"), once the founder packs are done, I'd think that they expect people to earn that AD somehow. And the dailies is currently the primary method. It does seem a bit impractical how long they currently take. /shrug
(The game hasn't been running long enough to get a real sense of things, of course. One can only compare to other similar games. I know that in Star Trek Online, by the same devs and with some similar systems, the daily currency refining limit is 8k - with, of course, different vendor costs - but it generally only takes around an hour to reach that. A decent number of players can max out their refining on multiple characters in an evening. Actually, during the "Mining" event, I could run that daily quest on five characters in an hour and get 15k. Bit boring, but quite efficient. Still trying to find something like that in NWO....)
They only take 1 hour to get done
Multiple pvp games, multiple foundry quests, multiple skirmishes, dungeons.... in an hour? Nifty.
I feel like perhaps only level 60+ dailies require you to do something more than once.
This can be a bit annoying, having to do 4 to do the daily, but at least with PvP there seems to be a chance (i have no idea what determines it, i thought it was winning, but maybe scores?) of getting two done with one match. If i get those, i can do the whole pvp daily in under an hour, sometimes much less.
The four foundry ones can be quick too, if you choose right, some are much longer, so be sure to read comments to see if people say it is.
I've given up on the dungeon ones though, impossible to get groups for it, for me at least. Much less finish, groups seem to dissolve if things get rough.

man really? i ran the <My eyes!> temple of the spider dungeon 3 times today that took 3 hours long and still is not yet completed for some unknown strange reason! I'm still yet to complete skirmishes, i'm on 2/3 and who knows if i'll finish it today, seen that the yesterday one i had to trash it due to outlevel! I even didn't done the foundry one, i done 1/4 so far, i just completed the pvp ones, and i still think wtf i done in 6 hours in game??!!?? You must be speedy gonzales to make them all in a single hour but i guess you just ...i was about to say the <my eyes!> word but i guess ambisinisterr or zeb will come to tell me i broked the forums rules -.-

the dailys take 21 to 19 hours to do again, that is to long. It should be 8 hours minimum, yeah there is foundry but not all give you ad. also skirmish shouldnt be taken away after a certain lvl, just make the same skirmish for the other lvls. also there should be made up skirmish that give you ad, and there should be side missions. there are but missions that dont give you exp, but you need to finish them in order to go to the next thing.
Having to run the same thing over and over again just to complete the "daily" really does blow. It kind of sucks because it pushes many to run the same Foundry quests they know have a low time limit just to get them done rather than possibly check out new ones. It gets old running the same skirmish multiple times per day just to complete the thing as well. Have to agree with the OP really.
Level up to max, now run everything 4 times as much, you will get the same rewards as a lower level, but because we increased the amount of times you need to do them, you will get more rewards.
Don't see the enjoyment value personally.
Neverwinter meets Diablo3?

They already have it maxed to being able to refine 24k a day as it is so not sure why they thought forcing people to run the same things multiple times a day just to get them is really silly and simply overkill. I would imagine for many that work full time jobs and have to spend time taking care of family matters it is kind of a frustrating design.
I agree, the so called dailies take way too long to complete. I've given up hope of trying to complete skirmishes and dungeons, I just do PVP daily and nothing else. On lower level alts the dailies aren't too bad. But at 60, we need a minimum of 3-4 hours which is hard to spend in a single day. Plus the queueing or searching for a party and failed attempts.
I agree with this for mid-range Skirmishes, not everything else.
Around level 40 is when the multiples start coming up and the problem is you basically outlevel the skirmish before you can do it (at least that has been the case for me)
I think that dungeons are OK and Foundry quests are varied enough that you can do 4 of them for the daily reward...although I think both PVP and Foundry should require 1/2 of the repetitions and give 1/2 of the reward per day. At this point it seems near impossible to do both along with other content.
I get the sense that the Dailies are not meant to be completed every day, they just give you the option to get involved in some game features and get extra rewards. So basically, someone who loves Foundry quests can do Foundry, someone who loves PvP can do PvP etc...

The word is directly in your title, and a couple times in your post from a quick glance.
"D-A-I-L-Y".
Thanks for playing champ! Have a nice day!
See, you didn't read the post and now you look like an idiot because your post makes no sense. Good job.
OP was complaining about dailies taking up the entire day to do, not the fact that he only gets them once per day.
It is kind of ridiculous. 3 skirmish, 4 foundry, 1 dungeon, 3 pvp. That would take at least 3 hours.
Not only that, but I hate the fact that these are the only real source for AD. There is no way I'm doing all that every time I login. It will feel like work and not fun.
Besides that the audience for pvp and pve is different so you shouldn't "force" people into these just to get AD. The entire system is horrible.

Well, that's 24k AD per character, so in theory it works out to be more than 24k. Also there's Leadership, and invocation, along with Skirmish event.
They need to reverse the multiple times thing. Honestly the content gets harder as you go up in levels, no need to also rais the quantity. As a TR, I am queueing sometimes for over an hour on both Skirmishes and Dungeons and some of the dungeons take an hour or more. Not to mention most of the time you don't even complete because some jerk leaves the party and then you can't complete the boss with 4 or less people. It is WAY too time-consuming and with everything broken it just makes the game frustrating.
Would I like to see the quantity of runs per quest reduced? Of course, cos then I get to do less work. That doesn't mean the current set up has anything wrong with it though.
Way it is at the moment it seems to me that the dailys are quests that can be done a maximum of once per day in order to gain AD regularly. Not that they are something you have to do every day. Just because some people treat them as such doesn't really mean they are over the top.
I remember in the original perfect world game 1 of the daily quests you had to visit something like 50 places scattered around the entire game world. Now that one was a pain and took ages. Set course to the next point on autopilot, go afk to so some stuff, come back a few mins later.
Moving through the many garbage responses this thread has, OP is right, dailies will and are actually killing this game, they are way too **** hard and way too **** long, I do not see neverwinter lasting much more than 2 years for sure at this rate, this game is going down super hard with zero end-game content if not for impossible to do dailies or all-over-the-place player foundries which gives no sense of direction or accomplishment for that matter once completed and they are quite a nightmare to complete at level 60.
Dailies are a tedious and unnecessary chore copied from an outdated version of WoW.
Boring rinse and repeat HAMSTER designed to make you feel like you are progressing something because there is no real content to do.
Cryptic please change this. I have pretty much given up on doing dailies anymore. A better way to do it would be to give the option of doing the Foundry daily up to 4 times a day to get the max reward, instead of forcing us to do a foundry quest 4 times to get a reward. That way people can choose to do just 1 to get something. Same would apply to the PVP daily and Skirmish Daily. I would much rather have a choice.
The worst part of the daily system is when you are at 2/3 of a skirmish daily and level beyond that skirmish and have to start all over again.

I HATE this. Please for the love of sanity just have it as "Complete a single Foundry" that you can repeat 4 times or each time you complete it you unlock a new quest to do the same.
SAME WITH SKIRMISH!

You have to admit it feels like PWE doesnt really want players running all the dailies in one day because AD can be swapped for Zen and PWE can't make a dime off of that.

Maybe someone finds them fun. Also nice to jump in at anytime and join what ever you want.
People who want to use dailies, will use the dailies.
Maybe I don't finish the last skirmish today. The next time I do I will collect reward and pick it right back up. Same with dungeons and the rest of the dailies.

I agree, I spent 50k on very rare gear only to never finish any epic dungeon when it comes to the boss. Game is getting old, and the AD are very tough for me to earn at this point. I haven't finished a daily since lvl 40.

But having ONE thing to do MANY MANY TIMES
is not the same as having a large variety of things to do.
