Same for me too. I live in the EU and this started 2-3 days ago.

Same here EU Lagging badly specially in pvp rubberbanding and all been having it since the last few patches . Was fine before and in every other game .
Soloing quests - usual lag i'm used to, no problem
Skirmishes/Dungeons - starts ok but after 1~2 mins it becomes 0.5 FPS. Magic missle doesn't even fire, have to spam Encounters so they work (in the occasional luck something cross my aim, which it's pretty much uncontrollable)
I have lag last few days, same as other described, just dont know how to check my ping and where. Plus can someone share the Server IP so i can ping it ?

You can see your ping by typing /netgraph 1 and 0 to disable the graph.
Just dropping a note to mention that the problem still persists. It's off-hours now, so chances that it is a load issue are small. My ping is at least 100ms higher (now a minimum of 270ms) than it was before the maintenance, and it spikes to 500ms+. Traceroutes still show packet loss after the first Boston hop.
Is one of the tech folks on PWE's end looking into this? Any information we can provide to help locate the cause?

The problem with latency spikes/packet loss is still there. The effect in-game is quite obvious. For example, I would ride my horse and it will come to a weird pause every 2 seconds or so. Severe rubber-banding in PvP and when using skills etc.

I was playing 2 hours ago then it popo up the message server not responding for at least 2 minutes then i closed the game. Now it takes me ages to have the "play" button load in the launcher and to load char list. My Gf has the same problem and we are using different connection and not in the same house. I'm from italy. Any ideas?

Okay, so I'm not sure if it's relevant, but since the problem seems to be around Cogent (if you look at my traceroutes on the pingplotter pic) I did a search for any network status notices, specifically packet loss issues and this is what I found on the official status page - link here: http://status.cogentco.com
Due to a European fiber cut, customers may be experiencing packet loss across the Atlantic. Engineers are currently working to resolve the traffic issue. The issue can be referenced in P1 HD5410047.
A second fiber cut has happened between Southport and Manchester today May 15th at 13:51 CEST which is limiting our backbone and transatlantic capacity in the region, customer may be experiencing packet loss across the Atlantic. Cogent NOC is working with the fiber provider in order to restore the service as soon as possible. The reference for this issue is P1 HD5411396.
This is probably something we'd have to wait out. Players on other MMO's, notably World of Warcraft, are having similar issues playing in the EU. So, the problem seems quite high up the ISP chain and probably only something Cryptic could press them for, in terms of ETA and more info.

Thx for the link. I had hoped that PWE would had been the first to respond with that info.
Good find, makovorn -- thank you for posting it! This sounds exactly like what we experience. So we just have to wait until they fix the problem, and it's outside of PWE's control. Around 2 PM CEST yesterday was when I started to have this problem, so it all fits.
No, Cogentco's status page still lists it as a current problem. A damaged cable/pipe does take some time to get fixed. Pretty sure it's beyond PWE's control and nothing on their end changed. (The traceroutes confirm the status report.)
I have the same problem , but i notice some ppl in EU haven't the same lag or just in some map . A friend live at 3 kilometer and for him is pretty playable , not for me .

Thanks, ingame ping is from 180-290ms, i posted on other topic, that pinging the patchserver i lose 10-12% packets, i guess we have to with the fiber cut, and wait first that to be resolved.

Unfortunately, a fix to the packet-loss issues are not forthcoming yet. I wonder if Cryptic/Perfect World are even aware of this? Anyhow, holding thumbs that Cogent get their network affairs in order soon.
I'm not an expert on networks, traceroutes, ping, etc. But I can say that I use satellite internet and at a minimum have 400ms ping. I have played many MMO's and rarely have an issue with rubberbanding or graphics delay (what i think of as lag) . I have even played quick response builds like scout class in WoW and was able to do so with the response delay pretty well. In neverwinter the lag is so bad lately that I can't even tell which way I'm pointed when in groups or in town.
In NW is more of the game driven from the servers and therefore more information needs to be downloaded on an on-demand basis? Or is something else going on?
I've turned off antivirus as a test, on demand patching, graphics set very low, etc. etc.
Overall the game has drawn me in, I love the action based combat. I hope the lag issues can be resolved, whether its their end or mine.
-_- I'm sorry Im new here, Do u Know Maybe which server have the least Lags ? Or all have horrible LAGS.... I can't play ...I'm on Dragon now. Or maybe someone know how to minimalize this lags, change of quality dosen't works... -_-

Ping jumps between 200-500ms.
