never seen a system this flawed in any mmorpg ive ever played. i love the game, but there's one HUGE flaw keeping me from playing any longer, and it's the respec system. why should i have to pay $6 every time i want to pvp on my gwf? give me a break..

Enlighten me on how this costs $6 for every PvP battle. Are you getting charged admission at the door or something?

well you see, i'm a min/maxer and i prefer to be able to compete at the top in pvp and pve. and i'm unable to do so in the current system, so i have to choose whether i want my character to pve well or pvp well. i should be allowed to do both.

I'm a min/maxer, and I'm able to compete at the top in both PvP and PvP with the same build.

    My advice? Learn2min/max

Although I don't have a problem with the prices in general, the respec one sucks for pvp'ers who also want to pve sometimes too. I'd be thrilled (and be willing to pay for even!) a dual spec system...but the current respec situation sucks. About the best workaround I can come up with is to buy 2 more character slots for $5 and have a character of the same class as my main just for pvp and have my main be specced just for pve.

I hope someone posts about respec'ing 3 times a day until they bend a little and let us pay gold for it or maybe a FEW AD. There are plenty of ways for them to make money that don't all but prevent builders from building builds. :)

Thanks for bumping a topic thats important to the community.

I will now do my part to help draw more attention to this terrible piece of game design.

If we all work together from the very start, we may be able to save Neverwinter from PWE's short term, whale chasing, cash grab model thats killed all their other games. Cryptic has obviously put in a lot work into this game to redeem themselves from Champions Online. Lets not let that effort go to waste!

While i'm completely behind any complaint about the pricing system...which is terrible across the board...I do have to ask why the heck anyone would want to pvp? No story to it, just a bunch of random people in some ridiculous arena button mashing each other to death over and over for no reason (other than the rewards...but no IN GAME reason)

The only fun pvp is when the devs have created a conflict within the system so that the fighting at least fits in with the story. No idea how someone who enjoys twitch button mashing even bothers to play a story driven game like this one. There are better alternatives.

This picture made me laugh, especially in the context it was used. Bravo!

In an effort to keep the thread from getting farther derailed, though, I will say I have to agree with the OP. In today's MMO market, really there is no reason for a character not to be able to try out multiple specs. It is fun, and part of 'standard' MMO play to be able to respec a character.

The option to completely level 2 separate toons just to use 2 different specs with the same class is just absurd.

you do realize that you can have enough skill to do both since you only use 7 skills for each.

Because it has become trendy to use the build of the day to PVP and to do that you need to respec. Thus the obsessive compulsive respec'er has to buy a respec everytime they PVP.

Personally they are doing something wrong if they have to respec every day for PvP but hey it's their money to waste that way.

They still haven't fixed this critical issue yet? Probably holding out to milk more whales.

Bad system is bad. A step back from 2008 designs.

Exactly there is no magic GWF spec that will save a player from themself.
