I did the Respec thing to try my dungeon on another class, and I can't spend points into skills. It shows I HAVE the points, but when I try to spend them nothing is happening. It refuses to save points-spent. The character also has 1 of all stats, an am unable to spend Stat points as well.
In beta, the characters were delete-able, but that seems to be gone now. Not sure how to fix this?
Try relogging and respeccing again? I haven't seen this happen since the closed beta myself though. As for the stats, I don't think we're supposed to have anything but 1 in them right now. The main reason why we have the different levels and classes of respeccing is to see that our skill tests work correctly and that the encounter balance isn't completely out of whack. For real encounter balance you'd have to play the published version anyway.
I'm having this same issue. I cannot spend any points on any characters. I've tried re-logging. Switching the character levels. Nothing seems to fix this issue. Pretty much means I can't test any content I create. This is a showstopper.

Yeah I couldn't get it to work. I've relogged several times, it doesn't ever fix it. I've tried respec'ing every class to every level, nadda.

Would love to hear some kind of response that they are aware of this and are working on a fix, as it makes legit testing of maps without releasing them impossible.
Any progress on this topic? Still having this issue.

I have this exact same bug. I did run into something weird the first respec I did I made a guardian and level 31. When trying to do his skills I saw some weird option about picking a sub class basically and now it is like my guardian has 2 class type names now. At the bottom of my character sheet it says "Guardian Fighter Iron Vanguard". I believe when I respec as other classes say rogue it will then say "Trickster Rogue Iron Vanguard". If I respec back to Guardian Warrior I can save points again, but any other class and I have the same bug as the original poster.

I'm having the same problem, though it's inconsistent. I was able to rank up a few of my powers and they stuck. But further rank increases wouldn't stick.
Additionally, I tried increasing attribute points but the OK button wouldn't commit them. All I could choose was Cancel. But, on a subsequent respect, the points committed perfectly.

Yeah as soon as you choose a Paragon path for the foundry character it's not being reset. So you'd have to go back to the original Class to be able to to do anything with them. They will hopefully just add a character creation screen you go to and pick your character from before you pick a Foundry map, would solve most of these issues as you could simply delete and re-create as needed.

I'm having this issue as well. I filed a GM request, but the response I got back was to look here or on their wiki. When I tried to follow up with the GM help request their support page threw a "This page has a Redirect Loop" error, so I can't get to my ticket to update it. I've tried viewing the page in Chrome and IE. Anyone had any movement on this problem?

I also have this issue. Respecced from level 24 GF to 31 TR, got paragon path, but then discovered I could not spend any points, so I respecced GF, but now every single class is bugged, even my original GF. And I can't spend powers on my TR either. This is getting really annoying, especially as I concider the fact that this bug is over a week old, and no one has said a word, and no patch has fixed it. I mean, it's been I think 2 patches since. Not a word. Oh well, I started a few tickets, here's to hoping for a reply!

anyone know if this character is server sided? or is there a file i can get to to fix him?
Just an FYI this problem was posted on the alpha forums several times as well, and it still hasn't been addressed. I am hoping they will just add a character select screen before you go to pick your Foundry quest you want to build or create so you can delete and re-create as needed to fix issues like this.

I just started using the foundry and my character doesn't have any equipment lol, not quite sure what to do.
find the respec menu at the top of the screen and set him to level 10 or 20 he will automaticaly get gear appropriate for his level (dont go any higher otherwise you will become bugged due to the paragon path)
Same bug here. The developers should be aware of this thread as the bug destroys our ability to create test our maps...
Dunno, i think I'll write a ticket

Hey guys, I was able to get my character fixed. I Threw him on to level 21 and when i opened my inventory there was armor there. Also i only tried this with the guardian again since i didn't want to take any chances with another class.
I guess I'm having this same problem, or a similar problem. I attempted to respec my character to level 10, and it reset all of his Ability scores to 0, and removed all of his gear (including weapon, so I can't even fight any of the encounters). I tried resetting to level 1 of the same class, of different classes, etc. Nothing has fixed it. Kind of annoying, because I won't really be able to test any encounters without publishing it. And as this is my first Foundry mission, I can pretty much guarantee it's going to be all kinds of messed up unless I can test it locally first.
I have this problem as well. I believe what is causing the bug is if you choose to respect your char to 31 and choose a paragon class. So for anyone who has NOT done this yet, do yourself a favor and stay away from respecing to 31. Meanwhile, i hope the devs fix this, because it is getting annoying not being able to test the overall difficulty of my encounters.

I also have this issue, I can test everything as far as quests and things goes, along with making the map works to my satisfaction, but I can't test combat difficulty since the toon has no stats, just the two at will powers. We need to be able to test the combat at different levels. What can be easy at levels 10 or 21 can, due to auto scaling, be a lot harder at 31 for some classes. it also makes it hard to test spacing between mobs of an encounter so they're not 1 shot by certain abilities at range (spell mastery chill strike I am looking at you..).

Would be nice to get a dev response on this issue...
I'm just curious, because in some videos I've watched and a Foundry manual I'm looking at right now, it looks as though there should be a character select screen for the Foundry where you can just delete your Foundry character if he gets messed up. I assume the character select screen has been removed? And if so, why? Or have I simply been unable to figure out how to get to it?
