So any builds i should know about mainly PvE ? for DPS/survival ?
Not really here to come with any builds only level 33 myself...but can only give you one piece of advice...survive the first 25 lvls or so and you will be fine.
People say at lvl 30+ you suddenly get a lot better but I found myself a lot happer with my GWF by level 25 or so.
Level 10-20 were an absolute pain especially after having played other classes you not only feel weak but you simple are.
The higher you get though the better it gets...oh and get SLAM asap

Level 35 = Weapon Master Strike and the world becomes shiny.
Better choose other class. GWF is like baby with lollipop compared to CW, TR and even cleric. You will die horribly in pvp and grind to 60 will be painfull. This class should be named Weapon Fighter because there is nothing Great in it

First of all a word or warning: the stories about GWF being underpowered while leveling are true. I have my GWF at 46 and am trying to get back the willpower to keep playing him. Ironically I just got a couple of abilities that are supposed to really help, so this could have been a case of tripping over just before the finish line.
As for builds, pick any other GWF guides you see in this section as there isn't a consensus yet as to the optimum choices.
GWF is fine. These whiners have not even made it past lvl 20 I am betting on most of the GWF's.
LOLZ.
I have beaten in DPS every single GWF I have played with until level 30 on my TR, CW and even my DC.
So either I am unbelievably skilled with all those classes (especially on the DC), all the GWF players I have partied with are unbelievably bad, or the GWF might be somewhat weak during the first 30 levels. I know what I think (perhaps too modestly ) is the most likely explanation.

I would like to see these screen shots of your damage compaired to them. My Guardian Fighter is usually #1 on damage, #1 on Enemies Killed and #1 on damage taken. By your standards the rest of the classes therefor suck and everyone should play a GF.
I just started my GWF Last night and so far (level 10) im loving the class and wish I had made it first
I haven't played any of the other character types yet, but I am finding my GWF quite entertaining. Reliance on potions and running back to the fire was pretty heavy before level 16, but with the cleric companion the character is a lot sturdier. The knockdown ability is also helpful.
And all things considered, I'd rather play a class that's considered underpowered at launch than overpowered. The underpowered class probably has a brighter future.

My Favorite class, mainly because it seems "normal" to me; the others I've played (CW & TR) were just a blur to me. Boring as hell. I personally think it [GWF] is just fine, and it's the other classes that are broken. One thing to note, I don't give two craps about PvP, so I can't comment about that as I just ignore it's existence.

Maybe but its brutal until then, thats why its frustrating. Im 20 and its just getting easier. I can actually solo with a bit of confidence that I won't get killed now. Its nealry a night and day difference from BW3 until now. BW3 it was at least acceptable.

CWs and Clerics should not beat us in DPS....ever.....

I love the class too but its frustrating to play at the beginning when everyone around is criting for 1k and your getting 70s......
Bottom line the class was nerfed after the BW3 and they overnerfed it..... It'll work itself out....

I topped healing in most instances up until 30ish on my gwf (or came close behind the cleric). Companions screw numbers completely on those levels.
I was rarely top dps honestly but being behind the tank or the healers was just as rare (happened when they went all out dps and i had double their healing).

Um, you do realise you have just strengthened my point about GWFs, if by your own admission, the GF which is the only class I haven't played ALSO beats the GWF in DPS.....

How? He said he beats wizards and rogues too. #1 means above everything, not just GWF.
I'm usually #1 spot in dungeons or #2 on Damage Dealt. I think honestly its all about playstyle. Someone out there may be topping charts on a dps Divine Oracle.. its possible and someone is doing it. Much like a GF out damanage everyone.

You are simply stuck in the mindset that if you are not #1 you are trash. If everyone was #1 there would not be a #1 if you get what im saying. Play the class because you find it enjoyable, not because you like BIG numbers. Also the class picks up at 30 and really gets strong at 45 (if i remember my previous GWF correctly)
gwf is not so bad but only of t2 dungeons,u will be lot worse for pvp then rogues and cw ,rogues will 2 shot u even whit tab skill charged so if u plan do to pve it can work but for pvp dont take it
How? He said he beats wizards and rogues too. #1 means above everything, not just GWF.
Sigh.
Okay then:
My point was that GWF DPS was low since all other classes I have tried beat the GWF.
The only class I haven't tried was the GF.
He posted that he was always been at #1 spot in DPS on his GF..
This means his GF has beaten every GWF he has played with in DPS.
Consequently, now it looks seems that every class beats the GWF in DPS at lover levels.

If he's always been #1 at DPS on a GF that means he's always beaten out CW and TR too. Which if he was to go by his experience means those other classes are garbage for DPS (just as the assumption you're making because you always get beat by everyone else).
Now, maybe you're right GWF is naturally lower than CW and TR, but maybe it's you...

You could not be more wrong.
My main is a GWF, and I picked it knowing it has issues because I like the style.
But the OP asked for advice and my posts are simply to make sure that the knows that the GWF has issues at lower levels.

Actually my point was that on other classes I keep beating GWFs (up till level 30 where I have played the other classes). But maybe you are right and I am just that good
And there is a huge difference between always coming top with one class (which could just mean you are very good playing at the class) and always, no matter what other class you play, being able to beat a certain class, without it being a balance issue.
To be fair, I have played other MMOs and I am pretty good, just not this good. Happy to be wrong on this particular point though
Not quite. If he had beaten, say CWs, with every other class then this would be true.
Some one who really knows how to plays a particular class really well might be able to come top every time, even if classes are on the whole balanced.
What is unlikely is that someone is so naturally skilled that playing 3 other classes can invariably beat a particular class, without it being a balance issue. Of course maybe you are right and I am just that good
That's the thing, I see many posts from people having no problems topping the charts and kicking *** in PVE and PVP on a GWF.
I suspect it's a combination of a slow growth issue (legitimate) with a player skill cap issue.

This is actually consistent with my posts were about issues at lower level (up until 30 at least).
As an aside I don't think I have even seen a screenshot of a GWF below level 30 coming top in PvE, let alone PvP. Have seen some pretty impressive screenshots at cap though.

Also people have to ask are they soloing or in a group. I've done both and I can tell you the experience is night and day with a GWF. Solo it takes a long time to kill even mid level stuff, hexors, taskmasters...etc and the beat the HAMSTER out of me. With even one other person it's much much easier. This could be where the disparity between the people saying the class is fine and the ones that says it sucks. Soloing at low levels is absolutely brutal with a GWF and I don't recommend it until at least 16 when you get your pet.
Like I said I'm 20 now and I'm just starting be able to solo stuff without having to run away to find a fire every time I get into a fight with a mid level boss and with some adds.

I am rerolling from GF to GWF (Havnt played it sense CBT) I will see what I can do with it again

Which one? If you haven't tried it since then that could be why you don't see any issue. They nerfed the GWF between BW3 and 4 I think, though I didn't play BW4. Either way its been nerfed. I played in BW3 and it was better. Just for example, I played to 20, died twice, in the clock tower dungeon because I didn't get out of the red circle and tried standing in front of her. Soloed with ease until the end when I wasn't playing with people and had no worries with gear or anything. I'd just used the highest level stuff I had.
Open? I had died probably 5 or 6 times before even 10. Tried soloing and it was hard even after I got my pet. Mid levels would beat me up and I have to stack the heck out of power on everything just to get some decent damage, whilst sacrificing just about everything else. Its slowly and steadily getting better, but the operative word here is slowly.
The lower levels of the class are definitely broken, either that or they just want you to grind it out until you get the the payoff which is supposed to be 40 or so. I just hope its worth the grind.

Than play your bugged class when for better half of your time (0-35lvl out of 60) you just suck. Yeah thats really enjoyable *wink*

Actually this is a good point. My companion was always the Dire Wolf or Wizard so this might be part of the reason.
Although, I still find it much faster killing enemies on any class (haven't played the GF, though) up till level 30 than my GWF.
