$60 on founders - every character gets a blue mount, purple companion, I get a bunch of astral diamonds and some extra stuff that I don't really care about. What more do i need?

I am waiting for a Zen sale before spending a dime..
Ever ask a halfling to watch over your stuff while you visit the privy? Was it there when you returned?

$60.00 on Founders Pack.....not a dime more. Only thing they need to do is take the Bags of the Zen Market and put into the game so you can buy with crystals or gold.

Buy from the online store? You kidding me??

Mount on Neverwinter - $40...mount on Rift store - $15.

I sure know where my money is going and it isn't Neverwinter. Lower the prices guys this is absolute greed and nothing more.

Wow..you could have bought food for like 6 months with that..or had a car payment for a nice car..

This thread makes me not understand, why they dont raise taxes for the rich, to pay off the national debt?

Spending 600+ to upgrade you r PC , is a luxury, but understandable..spending THAT much, for ONE game?

The ONLY answer for this is one of 3 things.

1- You are obscenely filthy rich, and do NOT pay enough taxes, to help the less fortunate.
2- You are not rich, but you have some money, and are easily duped.
3- You have a gambling problem. It doesnt matter if it is a casino, or "lockbockes" its gambling. call 1-800- ADMIT IT now.

I think prices are a little too high ATM. I have spent 0 so far. Not sure if I ever will though, as I am not a big fan of this "Pay to Win" scenario.

There's nothing to win, though. All you get are timesavers.

You not going to stop kids whining about 'P2W' using logic, I am afraid.

I have bought the Guardian Pack (60€) and then spent some other 40 euro. Nuked 2200 points in Profession Booster Packs looking for an Arcane Crystal before thinking of looking into the AH...sigh

Well at least now I have a Master Platesmith and some other green and blue assets ;)

No it is pay to win if you can't see that there is something wrong with you.

110% mounts are P2W in PvP

$30 per max level capable compainion is P2W

Being able to buy zen then trade to astral diamonds and buy epic gear for every slot is P2W.

I really don't get why people like you would try to defend it.

This is probably the only case where anything is P2W. That said, it'll be addressed because it's an easy fix; Either disallow those mounts in PvP or set a maximum speed bonus in PvP.

Do companions work in PvP? Besides that, just go to the AH with your AD and buy the companion that drops from the lockboxes.

Gear that you can obtain by playing the game (PvP and PvE). A timesaver.

Because you're an incompetent fool that screams P2W without considering the fact that there's nothing to really win.

Oh sorry I didn't realise only PvP can be pay to win... please. PvE can be pay to win too believe it or not.

It's just because you are an ignorant walking wallet that developers and publishers continue either making half-assed games with stupidly priced cash shops or destroy good games with them, all the while treating you like a mug. But I guess there are enough people like you who have nothing better to do than spend 100s if not 1000s on pixels while defending the terrible power selling tactics for not being pay to win. Nice work fanboys enjoy your cash cow as it crashes and burns, with this business model they won't even get out the starter gate.

GW, WoW, Eve pretty much any other MMO out there offers a better and more fulfilling and complete gaming experience at much better value for money.

It never fails to surprise me, the amount of people who flame and troll other people who spend money on F2P games.
Or proudly exclaim "I never spent a dime and I never will!".

Yes, gods forbid you support a game you enjoy playing.

Take a minute to kiss the collective asses of people who Pre-Ordered and continue to purchase Zen.
We're the ones who will keep the game going for all you freeloaders.

Please sir....may I have some more?.....

ROFLMAO....I am glad you whales get suckered and I thank you for being so foolish that it allows me to play this game for free as Cryptic/PW intended. They do intend for everyone to play for free right?...I mean, they tell me it's Free all the time.
If I havent offended you today....dont worry!!!....there's always tomorrow. Of course, you could also go to here for all I care.

I was going to spend money on this game, then I realized this is going nowhere but up... in flames, so I donated it to the cancer foundation in my town instead (USF Moffitt) I believe its irresponsible towards humanity to spend anything on something that is guaranteed to fail instead of simply helping your fellow man.

I am assuming that your post was in reply to my post as there is the 600ish figure in there so let me start by saying Hello!...now if you are referring to me you seem to be typing under some misconceptions. For a start you put forward the idea of paying down the national debt(which is a somewhat social hot topic in the U.S.A at the moment) um I'm not from U.S.A and my country has not been fighting wars it simply can't afford, so mine and my countries socioeconomic index's are quite healthy though your concern kind of welcome. Your point about the whole tax thing seems only to apply to your country again in this instance as mine has some perty healthy taxbrackets in place ( whilst not perfect still catches the majority of the "big fish" with a chastising tariff) also a good exchange rate to the falling us dollar helps, also your stock-market falls for fake tweets now ? that gave me some jollies except the bit about realizing that your financial institutions put peoples savings in the hands of computers that gave me sads:(.

As for your forward thinking ideas of how I spend said casheish, well you are entitled to them but short of mugging me unfortunately you don't really get to alter the reality of the spending. What was the next thing? oh right the multiple choice answers, how I love!!!1! people who accost you on the street or worse at your own home with limited scope questions to generate a single "obvious" desired outcome whilst making inaccurate statistics at the same time!. . .but I digress, In answer to your multiple choice doohinky I choose (D) which is coincidentally not specifically listed in your post. What is "(D)" you might ask ? well it is as follows - "I have earned the money legally to spend on the this ere game and whilst some of dem purchases where late at night and I was not exactly sound of mind I am unfortunately an adult and whilst my countries laws for recouping said funds are on my side, I must live with my mistakes/choices and hope that my belief in what the game could become is made reality with my apparent spending misstep" (I'm sorry it's not very succinct:().

nothing, and since i didn't look up what you can get if you DO pay, i'm not missing anything.
can play the game till this point without any noticeable limitations (well, hope i get a new bag soon^)
if end-game is appealing to me, then i'll buy some stuff to support this game.

The thing is a lot complaining are not paupers. I for one am an avid gamer and would dread to thing how much money I have spent over the years. But I still refuse to be given half a gaming experience and be expected to pay the exorbitant prices PWE expects for the rest. It's not that I don't have the money, it's a matter of principal. The free to play model has gone from bad to worse and this game really does disappoint me because of it's cash shop shenanigans.

This thread is about how much people have spent, not what we think about prices or the model. There is plenty threads about that, please feel free to subject your feedback through those. BTW you don't have to spend a dime to play and if you really feel the need to buy something that costs ZEN, you can swap AD for ZEN. I personally don't have cash problems and I like the game enough to spend money to help fund it. Others might differ. Not that I give a flying F about it...

Instead, now some Cryptic devs can buy food for like 6 months, or make a car payment.

Don't they deserve to eat and drive too? As long as they don't do it at the same time, because that would be unsafe. :)

$260 for the two founders packs, that's all i plan on investing for now...zen isn't going anywhere, neither are keys.

I'll get my monies worth out of the packs, then decide down the line if I want to get some zen to unlock my lockboxes.
