I directly avoided all the Foundry quests in both german and french.
Why is this even allowed through the system? The english language is a common ground, so therefor everything should also be in english.
That's a bit Xenophobic, just don't do them they have every right to be here as any other. This is a global game as are all Cryptic/PWI games I have friends from all over the world playing with me and I like it that way. Played with one guy from Czechoslovakia last night didn't speak English that well but man was he a good player.
Attitudes like "speak my language" in any culture is ignorant IMHO.

Well they can easily be avoided. That said, the game could definitely benefit with having servers that cater to people based on their location. Imagine if you didn't speak english, and you're forced to play on these three servers. Language barriers are a reality.

. . . . . Actually, the game is localized in several languages which you can change in the launcher's options. English is just the default selected language. Not all players speak English as a primary language. Just look for missions in English, they're quite abundant. These forums are English speaking however, for forums there are separate forums for German and French.

For players who speak english as a second language the foundry offering other languages is a great way to make the game more accessible to them. No one is forcing you to play campaigns in other languages. It's a feature that may be a huge asset to other players and does you no harm. Let it be.

What? What absolutely is ignorant by making the game english? man you totally have it wrong put, seriously.
First off, the foundry creator is mostly interested in promoting the quest in the broadest audience, isnt he? You certainly dont do that by making the content in anything else than english.
And what the bloody hell does creating content have to do with you, playing with a non-english speaking player? Youre mixing things up.
"Your story may not last forever; but it will exist forever"
If we're judging this by what's the most common language, you've just made the argument that the games primary language should be Mandarin.
There are more people currently learning english in Asia than there are people in all the Western world, to put things into perspective. To be perfectly fair, however, english is rapidly becoming considered the 'global language.'
I thought this might be the same bug which sometimes gives me German system messages or boss names. I am playing from Germany but language on launcher and Foundry panel set to English.
I am actually disappointed this game is only localized in German and French.
. . . . . More languages is something that was brought up to them before and I remember them saying that they'd like to have it localized in more as well. In time, I am sure more languages will come!

Im not trying to be rude or anything, but..you seem to be writing english just perfectly? Why are you by the lack of languages? English is the common ground.
If all games were localized to my native language, it would be horrible, where we come from. (im from Denmark)

Anyway this post is bordering on Xenophobic, unless Cryptic have it in their ToS that non-English quests are forbidden. I haven't tried any non-English Foundry quests as I actually enjoy reading through the story-line, but I would never consider asking for the quests in other languages to be removed. Let those that can read them enjoy them, and do all the great ones you can read.
ROFL irony: Anyone else find it ironic that the person demanding all quests to be in English made at least FIVE errors in just three sentences?

Hey all, lets not insult anyone for their language, spelling, grammar and what-not. As well, no one should be telling anyone what language they should speak - that would be a dictatorship and PWE is based in the U.S.A. Let's keep the discussion civil please. Thanks!
I actually had someone like this argue with me a few years past. The argument began over the correct spelling of Defence to which my response was that I wasn't spelling it wrong, I was British.
This devolved into a diatribe from him/her that the "Official Language" of the Internet was American English and that I should conform to it's spelling and grammar rules. My response to this was heartfelt, passionate and patriotic and cannot be posted here...
Either way, the games official languages are English, French and German, and you can specify which language you're writing your mission in and which language missions you want to play. Attempting to force people to write missions in English is borderline Xenophobic and against Cryptic's own policies.

Mandarin is fixated in a very dense area of the world so mandarin does not make sense, why am I even arguing about that here, gosh.
