This is probably not the right place to post a question about this, but I'm not sure where it would belong without bothering a GM (who are probably swamped with opening day work).
When wearing the courtesan outfit from the Zen shop on a tiefling female (this may happen on other races too, but I haven't had a chance to check) the normal underarmor can be seen due to the shape of the chest piece. When looking at the promotional picture it looked as if the outfit changed the texture displayed on the character model to avoid this, but on tieflings, at least, this doesn't seem to be the case. I was wondering if this was deliberate or if it was simply something that had been overlooked.
This might be a fairly trivial issue but it's been nagging me, especially since it's an item purchased from the real-money shop. If anyone can comment on how it looks on other races that would be helpful too. I've included pictures of the promo material and how it looks in-game currently.
Honestly hoping its a bug that the player underwear shows thru it.
It looks the same for all races, not just thiefling.

Thanks for confirming it's not just tieflings, Annah. I know it's probably not high on the list of priorities, but it'd be nice if it was fixed at some point.

Bumping this as I'd like to see a response from either a community manager or something.
Is it just me, or is it hard for anyone else to see what he's talking about due to skin color being almost the same as the outfit? Is it the fabric between the HAMSTER? I see texture there, but can't tell too well.

Sorry, I guess the lighting in that picture did make it hard to see. The texture is exposed in the middle as you noted, but also there's a wedge of the underwear texture that pokes out the side, too. On a tiefling it's a little less noticeable, but I imagine on a lighter skin color it would stick out even more.
The lumpy weird texture under the arms is so off-putting. I'm glad I did not purchase this outfit, I was debating buying a cosmetic costume and this is the cheapest one. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Yeah, it was a bit of a surprise after buying it. But it still has more visual flair than the armor model you're stuck with for most of the early game. I can't say I feel like it was a waste of money, but it's a little disappointing.
I havent noticed this, but like a dummy I bought this thinking I could re skin my normal gear into this outfit, only to find out that it can only be worn in the fashion tab. So I havent really worn it enough to notice, its been in my bank since I discovered that. /cry

Yeah, not happy with the fashion tab (so limited its barely worth it) and the unnecessarily high price of changing the visuals on anything.
When it comes to money sinks and the zen store, I feel like I might as well be dealing with a casino.

The underwear will be perma shown or we'd end up with hudreds of people running round town naked, I remember a guild in CoH that did this with skin coloured underpants on male characters... was actually funny first time to see a group of em doing dances in nude formation, but that sorta thing wears thin pretty fast.
Cheers

I'm not asking for the underwear to be removed, but I'd like to see less of it showing through the clothing when you're not naked. I'm just curious if there's a way for the texture to be shaped differently so it's not sticking out around the edges like that.
This is probably not the right place to post a question about this, but I'm not sure where it would belong without bothering a GM (who are probably swamped with opening day work).

I haven't noticed this because I dyed my outfit, but it's funny, lol.

Thanks to everyone replying/commenting. This gives the issue a little visibility on the first page so that people considering purchasing the outfit can make a better decision.

Keep in mind the fashion tab in this game is NOT like the one in GW2 - you can go fully into combat and wear that same design, it does not reset to your armor.

That's indeed an issue. We're talking about real money here. At the moment, this picture in the Zen store is factually seen false advertising. I'm not saying that this was intended and I'm really not raging here, but it has to be fixed in any case. Thank you very much, by the way. I was considering buying this thing, but now I won't as long as it isn't fixed.

You retain all your normal stats with your fashion tab equipped, so put it on and enjoy! In theory you could have all of your regular stats and be naked (in your fashion tab).

Any number of games have it set up that if you remove armor, the underwear texture/model is shown, but when you put on armor it switches to a different skin. This allows for clothing (like the courtesan outfit) that are properly-covering but in a different shape than the underwear texture to display properly. And the game actually seems to do this for NPCs - the same low-cut armor on an NPC or on a player displays differently. It's kind of annoying, from a style standpoint. Makes some of the armors not look right. Ah, well.

. . . . . Looks like a bug to me. Moving this appropriately. Thanks for the report, you may also want to file one in game and link to this thread.

Probably should be a fairly high priority since it is false advertising and if it's not fixed soon they might get a flood of people asking for refunds for this particular item (which Cryptic would be forced to comply with). Something I'm glad I hadn't decided to buy yet, that ugly looking rag totally ruins the outfit IMO.
