I can't believe 75% of MMO's still leave out the option of pause and resume later while downloading there games. Not everyone has mega fast downloading speed "mine speed is 120 kb/s" which takes many hours to DL. Would like to DL when I'm AFK ie not at home or sleeping.

I will not download ANY MMO thats does'nt give those options as this game does not so NEXT and from what I have been reading in the forums this game is exploting there player base already ie the players who bought the Founders Pack....lol dummies also ALL PW games turns into pay to win.

Its sorta funny how the economy in the US has been in trouble for years now but yet the MMO's collect a ton of your $ and what do you get in return? NOTHING!

Not sure if you are trolling but you CAN just close the patcher when you need the connection for other things, or if you are downloading the installer, use the torrent version.

Cryptic launcher/download programs doesn't lose any progress if you stop or close the launcher. It will figure out where it left off and continue the download.

You can pause and resume later, just close it, no need to be so rude, now you look like a fool.

This is not true, i just closed my launcher while it was patching or installing, and when i reopened it, it started from scratch. There is only a cancel button, no pause function. My download speed is 102 kbps, so it takes quite a few hours to download something big. With no pause or resume function, it means i need to leave the computer on for more than a day, and it limits my use of the net. I havent had this issue before on another perfect world game, or any other online based game. So i am asking if there is a way to pause the download?

Seeing as you are on a slower connection then yes it looks like it is REdownloading. It is not. It is verifying your file and where to start.

I see you are right. The patch total amount goes down if i exit. It appears as if it is restarting, but it is not. Thank you for the quick reply.

IIRC it just subtracts what you've already downloaded from the total. You should be at .5% of the 47% that was left.

*Might want to make your own thread next time, Necro rules and all that.*

. . . . . Closing this due to the tone of the OP as well as the replies it gained. This thread is also a Necro thread, which is not allowed per the Rules of Conduct (Rule 3.13).

. . . . . As stated, you can safely close and relaunch the launcher at a later date and it will resume where it left off but you won't see "75% completed." Instead, it will begin patching the last 25% and count down from there. If you truly have issues patching, please file a bug report or post in the bug reporting forum. Thanks!
