patching time

is it normal that the patching of my client is taking A LOT of time? I have done 23% in 2 hours :S

    . . . . . That depends on a lot of factors, mainly your internet connection. As well as PWE Server Load, Router Relay Station issues, Relays Hopping, Packet Losses, Viruses, Malware.. I could go on... all play a part in bandwith. I downloaded, installed, and patched the full client in less than 20 minutes on a 50megabit p/s connection.

    Update: Moving this to Bugs as this is not an isolated incident.

    Hello i have started to download this and i am getting around 40KB/s rather than my usual 3.5MB/s~ for downloads anyone know why this is and how to fix it or am i just going to have to deal with it?

    i have a similar problem with the patching progress. I think these are collateral issues of lag and huge mole of people who are playing

    Plenty of people playing and downloading the game so it's kinda overloaded atm.
    Atleast thats what i think it is, I've been reading around on teh forum and it seams as that is the case.

    I started downloading about 3 hours ago, and its only near 50% done. I imagine its slow, due to volume of people trying to download.

    I've been patching for over 3 hours and only at 30% and I've got a very fast connection with nothing running in the background.

    Now that the launcher has been "fixed" I have managed to progress to a point where the launcher says: "Patching". This would be fine if I was given some sort of an update on my progress. It seems like the launcher is frozen, except the "Highlights" banners keep alternating and showing me different pictures so it can't be locked up, right?

    Basically, everything seems to be fine - connections and updates are good to go - right up until I get to "Patching" at which point there is nothing. Nothing more. No download speed, no progress. It just stays like this for hours. I have even tried restarting the launcher, as well as my computer.

    Anyone else having this issue?

    It would appear that the launcher is still not fixed then. Or something is preventing it from working properly.

    Sounds like we would all be better off if we just write up our own OBT release date on the claendar and come back to the game some time later. Clearly the game is not ready to be openly tested yet.

    nothing to do...still slow...45% now after 5 hours
