The Rise of the Underdark - Menzoberranzan Returns!

The Menzoberranzan Project returns to the Neverwinter Online Gaming Community with the re-launch of our Website and Forums! After a few years away, IGN Hall of Fame Neverwinter Nights Gameworld Developer: The Menzoberranzan Project returns with plans for an Underdark-based Neverwinter Guild, and new Foundry Development Project.
Qu’ellar Duskryn: Once a proud member of Menzoberranzan’s Ruling Council after the fall of House Do’Urden, and former defenders of the drow garrison at Blindenstone after the Battle of Mithril Hall, have recently been stripped of their position by the ill-timed merger of two lesser Houses - Horlbar and Kenafin merging into the new 7th House of Menzoberranzan: House Melarn. Frustrated by their turn of fortune, but bolstered by the contacts and resources that they have amassed during their time so close to the surface, the time has come to finally bear the fruits of their efforts. With the distraction caused by the departure of House Xorlarrin’s grand expedition to locate the power source of Gauntlygrym, House Duskryn has been busy discreetly moving portions of their forces and allies to the surface of Faerun near the city of Neverwinter for their own personal gains…

Our guild is being designed to run in conjunction with the storyline we are developing in our Foundry Toolset Development Project, and will be run as a roleplay heavy, mature guild. That is not to say that we will have any explicit content, but the themes that are depicted in drow culture and lore entail some content that might be deemed inappropriate for less mature audiences. This will not be the typical band of renegade drow on the surface hoping to find a place in society. The drow your characters will be associating with will be working with the chaotic intentions of their Deity: Lolth at heart, and will stop at nothing to promote their ascent within her favor.

Many of the links on our website and forums should allow you to get a little more familiar with what it means to roleplay as a drow elf from Menzoberranzan, and enough of the geography and history to get you started. However, the guild is not going to be limited to drow elves. Members of this guild can belong to any race. Through the addition of Foundry Quests and roleplaying, we will be able to have any character cooperating (willingly or unwillingly) with Qu’ellar Duskryn of Menzoberranzan. This allows your characters the freedom of participating the greater storyline in the city of Neverwinter, while simultaneously working through our side adventures and achievements as you progress through the game.

    I just registered there, seems like a pretty good place to chat with some RP based players and potential guild members. I mean after all if we are going to take over the City of Neverwinter by means of drow invasion, we are going to need LOTS of drow, and maybe a few non drow lol.

    I just want to say this is a great community to be involved with. Their website is a fantastic resource for Drow related lore and the members of the community are helpful and friendly.

    Even if you are not looking for a guild, but you are plan on playing a Drow, this is a great community to be apart of to network with fellow Drow players.

    If anyone is looking to play a fighter or mage, and is in need of a guild, that is the two classes we are in need of more than anything. We will of course still take those of you wanting to join from other classes, but Id like to get a few more mages and fighters ot balance ourselves out at launch. We have several players that will be joining late and arent sure what they are going to play yet too though, so I guess now we just sit back and see what Lolth throws our way lol.

    I'm very interested in your guild. I don't currently play any drow but a few of my characters were started with underdark backgrounds, either explorers or escaped slaves. Do I message someone in game to join? I'm awaiting an approval on the website but I did sign up there just now.

    the main character I think I'll be playing right now is Marauder, Halfling thief, Underdark Explorer background.

    You should have received an email with a link to activate your account to the address you provided. If that doesn't work, you can PM me your Menzoberranzan Username here or post a reply, and I can force it to activate.

    Our Guild is set up, and everyone that is in game right now has Invite (Officer) privileges. Find one, and tell them Rizogue said to Guild you! :D

    hey rizogue mentioned you all, i was gonna create my own laid back guild, but mind if i tag along for a bit :) gonna be a wizard so with a vampiric set up with runes
    just looking for some relaxed people to run with tired of how some guilds take games to serious
