I advise instantly closing a thread with this topic, it is clear people cannot discuss it, that said, at least knowing how to spell the authors name is not too much to ask.
I don't agree with the decision to allow such names, but I can respect it. I simply won't play with people with such names unless they are recommended from friends and guild mates. I'll be trying to find a large RP guild when I get in game, so I probably won't have to deal with it much anyway.
I respect their right to names their characters that way, but I simply won't play with them, unless prompted.

I could say I did it intentionally to troll you all, and encourage it to be moved to where it belongs.
I could say that I don't want to "infringe upon J.K. Salvadore's trademarked name"
I could say that Letting the flames turn on my in this thread is better than another 20 pages of the same drek that the last thread on this turned into.

EDIT: I was debating calling the author a she, decided that might not be enough though.
When he gets to Heaven To Saint Peter he will say, "Hand me 4d6. Lets roll the dice and play!"

Artemis is a Greek Goddess of the Hunt I laughed that Salvatore used it for 'Male' Assassin.
Artemis can be either a male or female name. Artemis Fowl is another male character (actually has his own series) with the same first name. Artemis Bock is a character in the Dresden files, who is also male;). Not sure why it would make you laugh.

Well considering I spelled the name correctly in the Beta forums, and generally use copy-paste when unsure on how to spell something, Its not hard to get her name right. On the other hand, there is nearly a page of this thread now that isn't about the original topic, A horse that was beaten to death for days.
By the by, keep a lookout for my Drow Rogue named "Foshizzle My Drizzle."

Yeah but outside of fantasy authors who name their characters inappropriately, and maybe some nerdy parents, its a feminine name. Artemas would be the masculine version. You can of course, name a child Artemis, but it is a girl's name.
