Should I read the Drizzt books I haven't before Gauntlgrym or can I get by?

    I would read the others first, or a lot of stuff that has happened in the past won't make sense.

    At the very least I would read transitions. The rest are all good books, but shouldn't affect your ability to understand or enjoy anything in the later ones.
    Let's pretend like my account name isn't just a random string of characters I got by punching my keyboard.

    If all you're looking for is what's going on around Neverwinter in this point in time, you'd probably be fine just reading the first two books of the Neverwinter series, as the other two just go more into character development. Transitions might explain better why Drizzt is traveling with his current company, but I don't feel it's really necessary as it's 50-75ish years later or something like that? I forget.

    Of course I wouldn't recommend finishing the Neverwinter series before reading the rest.
