This is a parody describing what is actually happening in a (often music) video, especially when it makes no sense.

For reference, here is the full extended original video:

(looking at it, that video was weird to start at best.)

And here is the "Actual description" of the standard video showing what we "really" are watching:

while not politically correct (it is from the 80's after all,) it's freakin' hilarious--one of the best parodies I've seen of a song.

That was funny. Recall watching MTV back in it's glory days. I do have another parody that I found sometime ago and it's still there. More politically incorrect but maybe not so much in the future. Here you go.

Nice, a... recreational substance themed parody on Disney no less! For the fans of the original song, note the Devil is fiddlin' a gold fiddle :)

Not quite a Parody but I think it still fits in well with the theme of the thread...

And it even has a moral. Don't Assume!

That was funny too and I assumed every word. :D

Before videos there were a lot of songs that did that. Two old ones that come to mind, The Song of Woodpecker http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGBclwRgnhg and of course Shaving Cream http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyNca5ZEuEQ

There was the Dr. Demento Show on the radio years back and many stations carried it. Two great hours of all funny songs once a week. Songs all the way back to the 30's but timeless humor.
