  Seems the devs packed up and moved on and just forgot to turn off the lights.

  They don't even bother to set up official mod 29 bug reporting threads here anymore.
  They went to discord and mod 29 bug reporting threads are there.
  People are reporting bugs there too.

  • The activity on Reddit is very noticeably down
    
  • Steamcharts show an all time low - July is heading for 4% population decline even if it had a mod launch..
    
  • In-game raid-level activity has gone down a lot, hard to find pickup raids now
    
  • The ZAX queue length is falling while wait times are still constant or slightly increasing, which is a sign of less money being put into the ZAX
    

  There is a lot of small evidence that game population is crashing.
  
  Some of it could be due to summer vacations however.

  Almost all the activities have been shifted to Discord. Dev, players, rage, bug reports, give away, preview, guides, arts, .......

  So I checked the final numbers for Neverwinter for July in Steamcharts:

  • -8.32% population growth
    
  • Down to 670 average players - lowest ever even with a mod launch in it
    

  July 2023 was 992 average players.
  July 2022 was 872 average players.
  
  The reason for this _could_ of course be a shift in the way people start NW away from using Steam. But there are other indicators too that game population is crashing as I posted above.
  
  Everyone loves a winner - and frankly this is affecting my motivation for putting hours into NW. I am starting to have serious doubts about how long game will exist. That it was transferred to an operator specializing in games on the deathbed shows that Cryptic also thinks like that.
  
  Mod 29 likely was developed at Cryptic before game transfer to DECA.
  
  Mod 30 will be entirely made by DECA games. If there ever IS a mod 30.
