will probably give you seizures, i am honestly wondering if nobody at cryptic thinks this may be problematic?

When will the epilepsy inducing flickering on the start screen be removed, does really some poor soul need to get seizures from this to get this removed eventually?

If anyone even cares enough(homeoffice gives plenty of time, right), which wasn't indicated by any means, fyi Manic Gypsy I forgot her mod name here, my bad, told me she forward the matter to the devs, which probably didn't reach the devs at all, idk, please have a look at the above video(came out a tad short but you'll instantly get the idea) and if you even try to fix it, ty.

Do you have any factual info to back this up? E.g. it has happened to someone you know or you've checked the flicker rate on screen? (typically 3-30 hertz can trigger a seizure)

This is happening only on Xbox Series X and Series S, cannot comment on older Xbox models, it's not present on ps4/5

I don't know anyone who had a seizure, thankfully.

This post is to raise the devs attention about a bug in their game code which may be problematic for people which are susceptible to seizures, nothing more, nothing less, I know the seizure warning is tucked away in the tos but still its a bug.

Well hopefully they've measured the flicker rate. From what I know 3-30 hertz is the common range, with a decreasing chance up to 60 hertz.

@nitocris83 would you be able to check with the devs..?

Copy pasta of a concerned reddit user, sounds like a good idea, I don't feel we will get an answer from anyone here sadly...

Yes I'm aware they have legal speak, but certification has a series of technical requirements the title has to pass and maintain. Flash frequency and even vibration (rumble) durations are some examples of things Sony, MS, Nintendo have as requirements.

    Here ya go

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/gaming/accessibility/xbox-accessibility-guidelines/118

To help reduce the chance of adverse reactions, avoid the elements that are defined as follows.

    Luminance flash failure

    Definition:

A flash is defined as a change in contrast of over 10 percent of the darker luminance value.

The darker luminance value should be below 0.8.

    Failure criteria:

Flashes occur too frequently (approximately more than three per second).

Flashes take up a certain amount of the screen (approximately 20 percent or more).

Lower intensity flashing can also cause a failure if it's continued for an extended period of time.
