Dungeon Rewards: Insignias earned from dungeon reward chests are currently incorrectly unbound. In a future patch, they’ll be changed so that they bind when gained from the dungeon reward chest. It is okay for players to trade them, auction them, etc. in the meantime.

Anything to make more money... This is how I make extra Astral Diamonds...

IMO - The answer is that they want people to play the content and earn them, not farm AD and buy them. If acquired from a lockbox, they are unbound but a cash grab. If picked up through game play it's F2P for growth but not profitable.

There is another thing about insignias - insignia powder is actually quite rare. And now are insignias no longer part of double refinement event - which made them even a little bit rarer than before.
I feel it should actually be much easier to get this resource.

On the other hand - congratulation! You finally managed to hire someone who is able to change which items are part of the double refinement week! Maybe... try to use this person to finally incorporate the +1 variants of refinement items into the group? Or does this person specialise only in excluding things from the list?

Was insignia double in the past? I personally did not see it ever double.

@plasticbat: Yes, it was. However, in the party it had the strange behaviour that the first goes straight to the inventory of whoever picked it and only the second one went for the group distribution (need/greed mechanics).

This has been discussed, part of putting them in dungeon chests is to make them more available. They are aiming to make powder more accessable to all instead of reducing the amount needed for upgrades.

@reg1981 Well, the insignias in the chests are alive for a while now. And if you use all your fantasy, you can imagine a 10% drop in insignia prices in AH. Once those are patched to bound items, the prices are about to get back up to original point (the 50% effectiveness of converting + some refinement points).
The market does not show any significant improvement in the insignia powder situation.

From my personal point of view, I got a blue insignia in a chest once. From baby ZC. It drops rarer than scroll of life/genie token. And I have not seen too much of those. So, in my case, that "change in the loot pool" really did not cover all the lost blue and green insignias that I would gain during the double week. Not even close.

Actually for a casual player refinement powder is not quite rare, its very rare in terms of the amounts needed to upgrade stuff unless you buy from AH. i.e. to find by adventuring the insignia needed to upgrade anything would take days of grind :)

I agree. I get at least 3 to 4 every day and I am not talking about dungeon. Last night, I think I got 8. And, they are not from skill nodes neither. I actually have been doing small upgrade without buying any insignia from AH.

No, I never see double though (and I am not talking about dungeon).
