Hezrou Companion bonus is working but the Demonic Mastery Boon isn't, against some Devils in IC

Haven't tested the whole dungeon yet, but tested it against the devils amoungst the chains at the begining of IC.

[Combat (Self)] Erinyes deals 23838 (52973) Physical Damage to you with Melee Attack.

(23838/52973) = 45%

I had the full demonic mastery boon so I thought it was that which gave the extra 5% damage resistance, along with defense fully capped at 85k (although I had 90k).

Apparently the dr from the hezrou comp is multiplicative (or similar) past 50% dr, and thus only gives 5% dr instead of the full 10% and that the demonic mastery boon doesn't consider Erinyes fiends.

    Damage reduction is multiplicative, in your case:

    52973 * 0.5 (Defense) = 26486.5
    26486.5 * 0.9 (some other 10% reduction) = 23837.85

    52973 * 0.5 * 0.9 = 23837.85

    If there was a hit without it slotted, it would have been easier to determine if the companion is the source of the reduction or not.

    So it looks like companion is good and the boon is not working. Maybe start the new thread about it?

    @skpalantir Reports say that boon is wonky (works for some mobs, doesn’t work for others). Combat balance + the companion (Ghutulu or whatever it’s called) is awesome for Fighter
