gameclient.exe crashes on character load.

There were no issues logging in and playing ealier today after the update. After a break i tried to get back into the game. I can get as far as the character selection screen with no issues. But when i try to log in a character the game crashes and windows pops up the following:

    Multiple accounts, all characters. I tried a game repair from the launcher, let it run overnight, but it got stuck on verifying Fotns_Cave_01_Cube.Wtex and never completed. When i tried to load the game this morning the game went thru a long update. After completing the update successfully, game still crashes on character load.

    I believe PhysX3Common_x64.dll is from NVIDIA.
    May be you need to update your graphic card driver.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I doublechecked the driver for my AMD graphic cards and i am up to date. This dll is placed in the NW directory, presumably during the NW game install.

    In case it was corrupted, i downloaded the .dll from a dll site (same version) and tried again...same error.
    Reinstalled Directx (offline installer, June2010 version)...same error.
    Multiple attempts at NW Launcher file verify. It never completed, but got stuck on different files. nada.

    My system is running Directx 11. I didn't see an ingame option to pick Directx 10 (which i saw recommended for NW somewhere). Is there any way to force the game to use Directx 10?

    Try running your game in safe mode, within the launcher there is an option to launch the game without all the graphics, shaders, and in a windowed mode. This will ask you to set up your gamma again. If you cannot find this option in the launcher, you can manually move or delete the file Gameprefs.Pref in the Neverwinter\Live\localdata folder.
