Where are the Elemental Evil weapons?

We can't craft them anymore? I can't find them in the tradebar store either. What gives?

And before some joker tells me, "don't bother, they're obsolete," I know what they are. I have my own reasons for wanting them.

The Archdruid gives quests to go grind for them, a lot of work for skins.

If you lose them you can't get the quest to get them again. I want to get my transmuted skin into the appearance library without destroying the shield. I can either grind for the skin (which I've been doing for hours to no avail) or destroy the shield and replace it -- but that requires a means to replace it.

Boy! I should have sold my elemental skin instead of putting them into the library. 200K for a skin.

I'd just wait. They'll probably use the skin on some new item or shield in upcoming mods and events. The devs do tend to recycle.

The skin is the Redcap Shield, which you have to grind Witch Fen for. So far I've run it 20 times and come up empty. I can't put it into the appearance library without destroying the shield, so I have the choice of grinding Witch Fen ad infinitum for another shield skin or destroying the artifact offhand and replacing it with another.

Elemental Evil? Redcap Shield? Isn't that Sharandar and not EE since you're playing in the Fen?

I think he just went off on a general tangent about skins. Basically most weapon skins should still be available somewhere in the game. But some will be "near next to impossible" to get them. For example; Ensorcelled Arsenal came from the Black Earth Lock Box. I seriously doubt anyone is going to invest time opening thousands to get skins. This offers another source of income to Cryptic, if they decided to utilize it. They could sell cheap old weapon skin packs for 100 to 200 zen. But they are more likely to abuse the idea.

I have a Redcap Shield skin applied as a transmute to a Drowned Shield. I don't want to put the skin into the appearance library and also lose the Drowned Shield (since doing so destroys the item). So I can either grind for another Redcap Shield from the Witch Fen -- which is proving really difficult -- or get another Drowned Shield and then feel free to destroy my existing one to get the Redcap Shield skin into the appearance library. The problem is, how to get another Drowned shield?
