As far as I can tell, there are 36 types of pet gear and 5 ranks of each, meaning there are 180 possible pieces. If we are generous and assume they are evenly distributed (and they probably aren't) that means that on average you need to do 180 runs to get the piece of gear you want. Now, I have no issue with this, but what I do have an issue with is the fact that they are time gated behind daily quests. This only punishes people who like playing very few characters, as people who play many characters run the daily on all of them and then move pet gear between characters.

Recommendation: For 10k ad you can buy a consumable that when consumed lets you run a Warden Expedition an additional time. Warden Expeditions purchased this way do not count towards the campaign currency, but they do still drop pet gear.

That is how grinding work. The person with more time and more ability to grind more, will also get more.

Only thing they should change is that the WE bosses drops personal gear. Right now they drop just 1 piece and then u have to roll for it. Make it personal drops like with the ME gear drops.

And...? At what point of my post did I say it should be otherwise. I just want to have the option to grind on the characters I want to play on, instead of doing it on alts I don't want to play. I will do it anyhow, but if I had the option to literally waste AD so I didn't have to play on them and could instead grind on the character I want to play, I would do so.

And paying AD so u can run more will punish the poor.

How is it punishment if they can't afford to do something? Does it punish the poor that they can't afford a leg mount? Or r15 enchants/runes?
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

This type of grind makes the necklace from the undermountain shop somehow sexy again.
Chars: CW, DC, GF, GWF, HR and TR.

I think this is just to give us something to do for another 3 or 4 months since they really only added a new trial and just reused undermountain maps for the rest. Its a B mod even though they aren't calling it that

I would only run solo until this is fixed.

I'm not sure what to think about WEs. They basically recycle MEs with a different boss - so far, so good - and thereby split the number of players available for either even further without a (facultative) queue sys. While soloing is possible, it comes at two major disadvantages: loss of a huge amount of time, and a feel as if one fights the usual boss fight from Path of Exile: Fight, die, fight, die, fight, die, getting annoyed because it's basically losing anyways and feels like a cheap cheat, even if everyone might be glad that it *is* possible to win the boss fights. Some are fair, some appear totally off, e.g. the Gith boss who is all at once: fast, strong, melee and ranged, with almost no disatvantage on his side. Cool for a group, but for a solo run, see above. And consider that soloing might become necessary for a good deal of players unless they're willing to wait - it happens already while the mod is just up.

A similar problem of not enough players pops up with a couple of HEs. Never seen the Derelict Farm with more than three of the required ten players, most attempts fail. This is but one more example which I wanted to mention towards the issue: Groups are a must, but often don't work out - even with queued groups. Manycoins with too many weak chars and no healers is likely to fail; the harder the dungeon, the more likely players are to leave a group on sight of a character with less than 20k or even 22k. Many leave after half the dungeon if they deem it too slow for their liking. Especially ToNG, CotDG, Fangbreaker and Manycoins don't work out if the group is too weak, but they regularly get groups who have no chance in Intermediate or Expert Queues, the latter getting a pain in the hindside anyways with extraordinarily long waiting time.

I'm also not sure whether item level requirements are well balanced or completely off. In my case, even playing after a lvl 80 guide made it impossible to run dungeons with at least 2k, usually 4k higher item level than requested (dps warlock). I'm aware that the part of item level which does not show in the numbers was awful in my case since I don't play for a long time, but this is the kind of experience new players get, and if I remember correctly from my times as a games writer, delivering a satisfying experience to new players is as important as to keep the others.

This sounds like some rant maybe, but it is not supposed to be one. I simply care to share these thoughts eventually. If NW weren't a great game, I'd not care about that. :)
