I think we all know the issue here. We wait hours for a BHE to pop in Icewind Pass or Dwarven Valley. It pops, and before we can change instances (which cannot be done the traditional way) it's dead. If you do manage to get there in time, it dies while you are running to it. If you do get to participate, you STILL aren't guaranteed credit because of a bug when there are too many people! There are people who try and farm this for 3 or 4 days!
The solution? Every week when you release the legacy campaign, greatly increase the frequency of the BHE spawns. Thoughts?

My suggestion: The quest is fullfilled if one of the following options is fulfilled:
- 3 minor or major HEs and 1 epic HE (as it is now)
- 5 minor and 5 major HEs
- 15 minor HEs
I also think there should be alternative ways to completing the quest instead of waiting hours for 1 BHE to spawn.
The way it is now seems a bit to harsh to be fair and for very small rewards.
Do not get me wrong the upgrade pet tokens might seem good but with such a low amount for a quest or quest that can take all week to complete seems bit harsh.
Then again it really is aimed for those that have not completed the campaigned so perhaps the currency is the reward.
Never the less I believe these quest should be fixed.
We got told there would be a fix.
And banana skin lolz here we are with no fix.
Its just funny. A real poke in the eye from the devs, who clearly had no idea BHEs only spawn once per million hours in IWD... or perhaps its just a DELIBERATE kick in the eye from the devs who DID know?
Either way, just too funny that a professional company could make such a forking mess of things
Finding a big HE back then was not that hard.
Times have changed.
It seems fairly obvious to me that the Challenges were simply set up with a basic template and only modified when it was plainly not going to work, such as with Underdark HEs. It beggars belief to think any testing was actually done when you consider hiw many quests in SKT and Chult don't count but similar quests do. 3/4ths of the Camp Vengeance quests count. The Sosh weeklies and patrols count but not those from Omu. For SKT, none of ths quests in Lonelywood qualify. Going to Shadowmantle, Death Forge and Phantasmal Fortress quests count and the mobs inside count for the Conqueror challenge, but Dread Spire and its mobs don't work.
There is no rhyme or reason in what counts as an epic because the quest was just thrown together with no checking. The game is looking at the tag that let Remo and Beholder drop BI gear rather than how many players are recommended. Caer Konig is mentioned because its part of the campaign and does count for Adventures and Conqueror (Need for Mead). This is Copypasta Coding when the quests need to be set up individually.
