Am I Doing Something Wrong?

So, since hitting 80 day 2 of Mod 16 I have been doing the Master Expeditions. I have done them solo, solo with runes, and in groups (usually two to three runes).
So far I have gotten every 950 item available from bosses at least two times over (most of them 4-5 times)
No 1000 items.
No artifacts.
No upgradable weapons.

The rune boxes at end of MEs give me nothing but HAMSTER (useless blues). The rewards for completion give me HAMSTER (useless blues).
Just curious if I am doing something wrong, as I know people in my guild have gotten 1000 items, weapons, and artifacts.
Right now, MEs are basically the only thing I am doing, as my main has all the boons, and other than upgrading mount insignias and my enchantments past 12s, I am pretty bored in game. i even spent a day just helping teams do ME after ME

    U doing nothing wrong they just set rewards random, as in everything that is random... some get 5-6 time top reward as other get 0... I have several guild member who got 2-3 time new weapon artifacts and other like me that got none.

    Yeah, RNG is just hating you. I've managed 2x weapon sets on my main (sorry, my bad). I've yet to see any 1000 gear from an ME, though, nor have I seen an artifact (aren't those only from Lost Adventurer boxes?).

    Artifact weapon set i got 1 part doing it on 2 chars for... more than a week. From Lost Adventurer boxes i got 1 armor 1k ilv, artifacts are supposed to drop also including belt and necklaces, got none so far but some guild member got a few. Pure RNG making it a hell for some ppl like us. :(

    Yeah I can even up the ante on the actual quest rewards over half the stuff i get for my reward is gear only useable by fighters which is great except I am a ranger.

    I am also in the club of no upgradable weps no 1k il gear and no artifacts or anything as well.

    RNG at play again, I got my Alabaster offhand in my first group run. Main hand has eluded me. plenty of 950 boots and arms and a lot of other junk blues. No artifacts of 1000 ilvl gear.

    Have done maybe 20-30 runs and gotten one main hand and one off hand though on different toons.

    Hi

    No you not doing anything wrong – basically as others have said it’s just random.

    I can honestly say I have reached the point of not caring, they can keep their weapons. Locking a weapon behind a random rare drop that’s mean some players will never get it is just silly.

    The RD way of granting weapons was a good approach – you earned them. This way is just frustrating end of story.

    I have no alabaster, no 1000 gear, and multiple copies of all 950 stuff.

    Looking at people around me, maybe 30% for one alabaster piece, very few got both.

    With weapons being so important, relying on low probability RNG for them is a huge pain.
