Convention Re-Infiltration Bug

After infiltrating the convention in the repeated version of the quest, the end has a quest line to find Dargmox's treasure - but that treasure is nowhere to be found. Further, the quest items in the journal don't indicate this step as being necessary.

It appears this quest cannot be completed.

    same here.
    nothing to see,nothing to found.
    even the drow guard picks his nose imho.

    In the corner near the end counter and mushroom tree is the chest it's not sparkly took me a while to find it.

    a look, found it, this time it was sparkling, funny thing is was severaltimes there, but still was not able to get it.
    took me 3 times to repait it.

    Update: After dropping and redoing the second time, the chest was sparkly but I was unable to claim the treasure. I was able to claim after dropping and restarting the third time.

    I could not get the 3 to talk to me on the first go around. Is there a trick to it or is it just severely bugged?

    Talk to the bartender to get the hat. The screen that is shown when you "wait" to get into the convention gives you the hint.

    Yes, the chest was hard to find. But, I eventually found it. I had no problem to open it when I found it.

    By the way, I wonder if you need to kill everyone before it shows. I run back and fore a few times and could not see it. Just before I went back to find it, I killed the last minion.

    this bugged on me so many times it would be faster to do the basement quest over and over again then to keep aborting and repeating this *sigh* /also tried not skipping dialog to no avail

    can someone post a screen shot of the chest sparkling

    You can find a similar bug, no interaction possible with an object vital for the quest progress, in Information Aquisition. I couldn't destroy the wall of ice to reach the chamber with the last giant crystal in it during one run. I had to restart the whole thing, to find the sparkling spot in it...

    So, even if you stand right next to that bugged chest, you might not be able to open it. I tried anything possible with that bugged ice wall, but in the end i had to redo the whole quest.
