Collector's Blinsky Quest

hannasielhannasiel Member Posts: 65 Arc User
The guy I quest with every day and I both have the Blinsky quest. We both have gathered the heads. BUT, we never get credit for them. We have even abandoned the quest and taken it up again with the same results. I have researched the net but find only referencs to being able to gather more than the 3 and this has been fixed but no mention of the heads not counting toward quests. Can someone shed some light on this please?

As you gather a head from Berez, the Bonegrinder, and the cemetery, that head should fall off your campaign tracker. Once you have all 3 you turn the mess in to Bildrath.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

Thank you for answering. Yes, I realize that is the way it is supposed to work. But, when we gather a head from one of the 3 specificed places, the head goes into our backpack but does not eliminate that particular place from the quest tracker. All three still show as needing to be gathered.

Nicholas and Morbius gathered the head of the witches they killed and Bildrath won't pay for them, but that is a different story... :)

Sounds like you should do a trial separation and not run it as a party. The quest tracker might be "confused" as that is a non-shared quest. I also assume from your statement above both of you have the doll body in your inventory. There is no harm of not being in a party to collect the heads. IF you find this to be the case, you should file a bug report.

Thanks Wendy! The "not being in a party" might be the answer because, as you stated, it is a non-shared quest. We will experiment today. And, yes, we do have the doll body in our inventories. If this fails we will go the bug report route.

It's a known bug since launch. You cant get the doll heads in a party. Split up momentarily and grab them.

This isn't the first instance of quests being a little weird in a party. If you want a private chat while adventuring, try using a queue group instead.

Thank you Flippy, Pitshade and Kvet for all this information. As it is (as you say) a known bug, I am surprised I could not find out about it being a bug searching the net. Glad I came to the forums! :)
