I have same issue. My PC specs are: Intel i5 CPU 4 GB RAM Intel HD 3000 GPU Windows 7 OS
I have major lag because of RAM consumption that rises up to 98% because of constant patching which I have done long ago. I reduced all graphics, but the longer I play the more it lags, and it even completely freezes my PC! When I exit the game is still running on background and won't go away no matter how much I force-end it. Please fix this as soon as possible, if not possible, at least give me some settings I can use to reduce RAM consumption at least.

While it is obvious to simply say "buy more RAM" I'm sure you've considered this. I believe in the settings you can reduce CPU & GPU usage but I have not seen anything to reduce ram. Only thing i could say it drop all settings to low and start to increase then one by one until you see the ones that effect performance the most. Good luck to you!

well as you say buy more RAM, but have you seen lowest requirements? 2 GB RAM is lowest requirement to run the game. My friend with 8 GB RAM has same problem too. The lag is huge the longer I play and it is frustrating.

To be honest, I just checked after reading your reply. But the requirements seem a little too low for how the game is supposed to perform. I have 16GB of ram and still get lag spikes in cities etc. I can imagine it could be almost unplayable with 4GB or less.
Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows® XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 Processor: Dual-core 2.0GHz CPU or better Memory: 1GB RAM Video: Shader Model 2.0 or higher, GeForce 6800 or ATI Radeon X850 performance, 128MB+ video ram Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound chip or onboard audio capability with the latest sound drivers Broadband Internet Connection Required
Recommended System Requirements

Connection is working fine with other game, and there's nothing else using the connection beside the NWO game client. Looking at how the game starts to lag to the extreme the more active players are around, my guess is that something isn't working right in that department for some of us.
No offense, but instead of pushing out another new module, that will create even more problems one way or another, the Devs should take some time to fix the bugs and issues we allready have to suffer through every damn day from the last module(s)!
game starts to lag to the extreme the more active players are around
This was very common some time ago in Tiamat instances, where using certain powers almost froze the game. Astral Shield and Icy Terrain were two of them, if I remember correctly.

Well, i thought they had fixed the problem with those abilities in some patch in the past... but it looks like this issue is still around and not just in the Temple of Tiamat.
I had several SNR (Server not responding) messages ending in disconnects from the server sometimes yesterday, and of course massive lag spikes in Barovia around Yester Hill. The game becomes unplayable even when i'm only between the stone circle of the encounter and the forest around it - this makes no sense. I mean, if the lag comes from certain player abilities, what "lag range" must they have?
yeah i have always had on demand patching disabled but i notice switching to some maps such as guild/stronghold map it seems to patch every time i go there.

Once again, if these lags were SERVER lags, EVERYONE would have them AT THE SAME time, no matter where they play from. Since not everyone has them, it is obvious and logical that these lags are not server side lags and not caused by some powers. The vast majority of lags comes from unfortunate routing. Neither you (the player) nor Cryptic can control the routing, the only option to influence it is to use a proxy server.
Re-installing the game, changing proxy or turnin off "on demand patching" didn't work.
Yesterday i did some changes and now the costant patching is gone! Not sure if all those changes are necessary, but the game is now workin and i don't want to make more tests
1) be sure you have the latest drivers on your graphic card. 2) right-click on game.exe. Go on properties/compatibility and disable visual themes and desktop compilation. 3) Enter the game, go Options and turn OFF "monitor vertical sync" and "reduced file streaming". Set to 50% "character texture quality". 4) Exit game and re-start.

not getting any better, it rather looks like it's getting worse with every new patch/update.
The game is nearly unplayable for some of us for over 2 months now... running on 32GB RAM here.
