"Cryptic Error Handler"

For the last 3 days (sunday-tuesday). I tried to "play" the (Arc) Neverwinter game, but all I get is "game crushed" and "Cryptic Error Handler"....is anyone suffering the same fate?

    The error handler is normal, when the game crashes that's supposed to appear.

    Do you get any other error messages, in particular anything about "D3D"?

    If you go into Options and choose "safe mode" does the behaviour change? What about if you choose "use 32-bit client"? If you're fullscreen, try running it windowed, if you're windowed, try fullscreen?

    Have you tried disabling on-demand patching and choosing "force verify" before trying again? <---- -warning, that may result in a multi-gigabyte download

    At beginning of game, I click "play" this is when I get "ERROR: failed to load dbghelp: 126". The next line is "Line: \cjunctions\src\utilities\crypticerror\harvest.c(543)" Then copy down the "chipbroad" and paste to "Oop, the game crush" ....submit!

    Try running the Game Launcher then select Options in the Game Launcher; and run a FORCE VERIFY option, then make sure ON DEMAND PATCHING is set to OFF. :)

    If not you could also try deleting the just the subfolders of:
    \neverwinter\live\x64
    \neverwinter\live\x86

    *depending which version you running 32 or 64 bit or just do both to be SAFE.

    Each folder only contains about 54-65 megabytes in 18 files or so if you want to check. That will also force you to redownload those files in addition to validating the rest of the installation.

    That may help get you back up and running. o:)

    OK ive got problem and that is i can get through the louncher and get to carrecter selection and then i select the only carrecter ive got and bam crash 10 time in a row. i was entering a place that i cant remember the name of cos i used 5 min on finding out i cant post a new thead cos im on probation....!!! this is a quete from arcs page How long will it last?

    The probation period only has a short duration. If you have plans to use the purchased Zen in the currency exchange or use it to acquire items from the C-Store/Zen Market for other players we recommend waiting until probation ends.

    Short they said let define short! i ordered a vocal recording studio delivered by delivery firm on monday and yes i got it today like in the morning. Less then 24 hours. About 15 hours! and started to play this game over 72 hours ago i filed a ticket on 2/7-2018 no answer yet... so arc im a criminal until when?

    Hi Mike,

    Since you're level 30 you're almost certainly in Neverdeath graveyard, right? There's a map, part of the quest chain there, that's crashing every time since the Ravenloft release. The fix is to wait 15 minutes then try again (which hasn't worked for you), or submit a GM Help ticket in-game from another character, which you don't currently have.

    You should create a second character, and you don't have to do anything with it - just submit a help ticket requesting that someone move your first character to a safe map and go to other quests until they patch it. NORMALLY the patch to fix a crash like that would come out very quickly, but there's a new module just release AND it's an American holiday, so it's delayed more than usual.

    I'm really sorry, this is a crappy experience to have with a new game.
