Mid - December would be odd as they have another x2 refinement scheduled for end of December. Also winterfest starts Dec. 15 and I don't think they would want to release a major update during the event.....
Can one of the mods/developers chime in please....even if it is just a general time frame please?

Release for Console has not yet been announced. Module release on Console generally follows around 6-8 weeks after PC release. It will be announced in the News & Announcements forum and News pages (XBOX | PS4), as well as Twitter and Facebook, when the date is set.
Update: Swords of Chult for Console is slated for Early 2018, per this blog.

There has been no exact date, but the developer's blog on changes to the random queue says early next year for console release. So. a bit longer than the usual 6-8 weeks. Likely to give more time to adjust the changes, since it can be done on PC without a cert process.

"Both of these changes are going out this week on PC and will, of course, accompany the launch of random queues in Swords of Chult when it comes to console early next year. With these adjustments every level 70 character should be able to complete both the Random Skirmish and Random Dungeon queue with ease and earn as many rough astral diamonds and dungeoneering shards as they’re used to."
I was talking with Raven and I said in one of our discussion that the new content will launch probably around Martin Luther King birthday like last year for SoMI.
