Loadouts... ok.. how about this too

so I've yet to tinker with the loadouts on live mostly because I'm waiting for bugs to get worked out.. but just now while in a fight.. I went HEY! how about a favorites!?

Being a DC.. sometimes / more than often I switch from FMF to BTS... depending on whats going on and having to scroll WAY down and selecting it.. (I can die that quick) I'm going.. what would be great is of the 40 powers I don't give two craps about.. why not put the ones I actually use at the top? allow us to arrange the tree how we want. not how we get them.. that way we don't have to scroll.

Load outs are great.. but powers being able to be found quickly ... that'd be amazing.

Aaargh! Powers! I knew there was something I forgot to think about when I did my loadouts (I wished my companion selection would have been included in the loadouts but no such luck)

As far as powers go it would be nice if we could save several action bar sets (in the same loadout) and have a quick way to switch between them. Opening the powers window and then dragging and dropping things to change them is clunky, clunky, clunky.

Great idea, I'm all for improvement, even though I don't think loadouts were intended to be used as a mid combat switch.

My concerns atm are the resulting additional respec costs. Pre-loadout higher level characters have to respec in order to be used properly for the 2nd loadout. As well as players now having to buy two respecs at max level. Many of us are casual players without fast ways to make loads of AD.

I know you guys need to make $, but please consider the option of reducing respec costs.

Why? I've used the 2nd loadout on my main with no problem. It has had zero impact on the original loadout.

Why would you have to buy 2 respecs? That would be a case of not having a working character on either loadout.

No:) Either you misunderstand me, or my writing sucks.

Pre loadouts higher level characters have all the previously gained powers and feats allocated the same in both loadouts. That's why I said you'd need a respec on one of the loadouts. And many players do a respec once they hit level 70, so that means two respecs now. One for each loadout.

Run with only one loadout until you hit 70. Problem solved.

Don't "copy existing loadout", unless you literally want to do that.

When you chose a different loadout slot, it should be a blank slate for assigning points. No respec needed.

If you are setting up multiple loadouts as you level up and unlock boons, each point you earn will need to be assigned as you get it, on every loadout you have set up.

When I got back from a while away my characters had all gear, feats and powers automatically distributed the same on both loadouts. No clean slates there.

If loadouts were intended to be used only at level 70, then they should've implemented that. However, this is not the case. So, before level 70, if I want to have my 2nd loadout with different paragon/feats/powers I HAVE TO RESPEC that 2nd loadout.

Only respeccing at level 70 is still going to charge you twice, once for each loadout, since we're unable to put points specifically where we want them while leveling.

I don't know how to explain this simpler.

And I'm not saying I can't pay the respec, I'm saying we have to do it at least twice now on each character. That's why I was asking to maybe lower the cost for each respec. I know this is a marketing thing, so it's probably never going to happen, but it can't hurt to ask right?

    Ooooh I'm so sorry!

Yes I did the copy thing when I was fiddling around with loadouts trying to understand how it worked. At that time I thought it was for gear only. Damnit! I feel so stupid now.

So if you're going to use loadouts before level 70, it's your own choice and it will probably cost you 2 respecs at 70.

Thx for your patience. I'm really embarrassed now.

you can right click a power, and then select the key to bind it to from the list that pops up.
