Yay! Masterwork is becoming relevant again

Mod 11-B brings significant improvements to Masterwork crafting, and actually makes Masterwork relevent as a source of equipment.

For those of you who do not have access to the Preview server, her is a very short document with a few of the highlights:

    Thank the gods and the saints be praised... was begining to think masterwork was becoming as useless as resource nodes. .... nowwwwww, if they only would do something with the foundry

    The new gear and rings look nice and are definately needed for master crafting, my only complaint is the return of stronghold bis artifact weapons after one mod. I mean c'mon guys what the heck was the point of MSVA and cloaked ascendancy if you were just gonna turn around 1mod later and release updated versions of these things again.

    Maybe I can craft my own vambraces, sallet then. I'm getting tired of assault pieces dropping in FBI.

    We need more room in the professions resource inventory SERIOUSLY. There is no more room for all these new resources. I have already made too many accommodations for my liking. Please, please, please give us some more room.

    devs are the problems, they keep adding new items and we can no longer able to carry more, forcing players to give up what we can keep and hoping for player housing for decorations for old armor for display case or stands.
    it get harder to loot what on the ground and often the gems get into overflow.

    Ill hold my praise till we see the cost. The gear has never been the issue, its the cost of it and the process to get it.

    they could add resource slots for crafters like we buy bank slots and bags, example buy 8 slots for 200 zens, up to 10 times? and in future, devs would add 8 slots per Mod with no cost if they add new crafting items.
    please disregard the numbers, it is just concept.

    The sphene items will make ranged characters monsters... you won't be able to run away from them or catch them to kill them. Please rethink.

    So you want to hurt PvE once again to benefit PvP? No thanks. Those rings are fine, but expensive as HAMSTER to make, so they probably will not become that popular anyhow.

    I did raise that issue in the feedback thread: http://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/neverwinter#/discussion/1229563/neverwinter-m11b-general-feedback but you might want to add your concerns there. I have been pointing out the profession slot issue on a regular basis since Mod 11 was in beta, and been ignored so far.
    Hoping for improvements...

    Whilst I don't PvP - there is a difference between "hurting PvE" and making sure anything NEW doesn't further break PvP. That's not an unreasonable request.

    New masterworks... that explains why all the raw materials have disappeared off the auction house and prices have rocketed :)

    Just when I thought I was getting somewhere with old masterworks...

    I would like to raise my point of including an account-wide "profession" tab in players' banks. I don't think making us buy additional slots would be a wise move, but rather an unlimited space, much like the "useful items" tab. The tab can be split up by Resources and Assets.

    The professions tab should be accessible by all the characters on the account, without having to withdraw them, much like the personal bank tabs don't require us to remove items like reagents and wards for refining, or withdrawing equipment to donate it to the mimic.

    This simple QoL improvement would make things so much better and easier for us all.

    Rethinking this item won't hurt Pve at all but it will damage pvp if it is added to the game as is.

    Pve is fine and simple even in full mod 6 gear. Yes I do all my pve with mod 6 weapons. Can solo orcus with mod 6 weapons without bondings.

    Pve in neverwinter is trivial at best.

    So far looks good,

    I would like to see a full set of BOE PVP gear added to master crafting. There is already mastercraft PVP rings so why not go ahead and add a whole set?

    I fail to see how the sphene gear breaks pvp for ranged characters, its good but 1500 recov and 3,000 movement isn't that bad. 1500 recov can be achieved with just pots and 3,000 movement speed while good is not game breaking, its about 7.5% more movement. If a ranged character wants to do a speed build that's already well within their means. They just won't be quite as fast as a GWf or TR. The possible exception being an HR. I saw one testing a build that was extremly fast and could put on some absurd burst speed using some power of theirs.

    I know what I can do with my current speed.. I can chase people and slash them to death as they run... with an extra 3000 speed boost while attacking with encounters I can cycle through 2 encounters and stay on you while ripping you to shreds, and staying out of range of your attacks. Plus faster cool downs while doing it? It's not a good idea....

    About the items listed on the list posted by adinosii in the OP...are they really going to stay at those Item Levels. If so, what could be their plans for Item Level beyond Mod 11b? From what I see from that list, just 1 piece of the new Masterwork Armor, Weapons, Rings, Belts and Neck pieces would have over 3 times the IL of an equivalent single piece of Relic Armor and Weapons and such. Can you imagine hearing the calls for (10k+ IL with all the enchantments and reinforcements added in) just to run the current content! Or maybe, just maybe...they are possibly thinking of doing away with enchantments and reinforcements adding additional IL to Armors - Weapons - Rings - Belt and Neck pieces and just adding their Stats from them". I guess we will have to see...

    Item Level is getting a complete overhaul. The numbers in the OP don't correspond with.the numbers being used on live. Relic sets won't stay the same.
