Not happy. I looked at the toolltip for the new CW River District Mirage Weapon Set and had a query regarding the wording used. It made me not sure what I would be in for, and we all know how much time and effort goes into these weapons, you don't just suddenly acquire one and use it and then make a decision to keep it or discard it, massive time and effort is required to get it, and then actually make it usable and work, so you deserve at least a fair idea that you will want to use it for all that investment.

OK, I emailed the help guys for what I thought was a very simple and quick answer to a straightforward question... I knew the chances of anyone knowing the answer on here would be minimal or non-existent, and I decided to go straight to the company for information on their product.

My question was simple; As the tooltip says "3 Illusions will fight "for" you" (and not "with" you) I thought there was a decent chance that my character might stop fighting altogether when they appeared, the word '"for" leads you to think it is as a substitute and not an addition, as in; "I'll go get that coffee for you" or "I'll take your place and work your shift for you", generally this word means instead of (you doing it), not as well as. If my character was going to stop fighting and float in the air or whatever while 3 substitutes fought on my behalf, I knew it would screw up my flow of concentration while fighting and I would choose a different weapon set.

I emailed the company and asked this question, it only required a yes or no answer, 'do I keep fighting alongside the Illusions or not?' Yes or no.

I was contacted back and told that they only offered help with issues like ingame abuse or faults, and that they did not offer tips or strategies. That the place to ask this and discuss this was on the forum here. I replied and said I wasn't asking for tips and strategies but wanted information on this set so I could make an informed choice, I asked again for a simple answer and was given the same answer that I should bring it up on the forums here, which I finally accepted begrudgingly.

I came here and found a thread on mod11 weapons and posted my question in it, last I visited (I don't come here a lot) there were 2 replies. I came here today and saw in my notifications there had been a lot of further comments in this thread, in fact up to the 27th, now when I click any of them I get a blank page and it seems the thread has been deleted. It says

Permission Problem

You don't have permission to do that.

The notifications from all who commented since I last looked at the thread (11 of them) are still there in my list, but when you click them they go to this blank white page, and if you click through to the people's profile who commented in the notifications and look at the dates they commented, all the comments connected to this thread on their profile have been deleted also. My bookmarks (of which I had only two, this thread in question and one other,) now only show one bookmark, which is the other.

So I was told to bring it up here, I did so, and the thread concerning mod11 weapons (that was the name of it) has been deleted.

Can anyone shine a light on what happened to this thread?

The thread was probably made by a user that has since been shadowbanned, which unfortunately hides all their posts, and all topics they've ever made including replies. This breaks all notifications to do with their content as well. :(

CS doesn't know diddly squat about gameplay. Trying to ask them questions about mechanics is foolish and will lead only to disappointment and frustration. They have a script to work from that tells them how to handle very specific requests and issues. If it's not in the script, they point you to the forums. Your question is like trying to ask a publisher what a book you read really meant. The publisher may have never even read the book.

As for your tooltip semantics question, I can see where you're coming from from a language standpoint, but in my opinion, you're vastly overthinking it. While I don't think anyone has access to restored weapons to answer conclusively, locking the player when their weapon activates doesn't make any gameplay sense. If you join the army and fight for your country, that implies alongside and not instead of. I think you're being obtuse.
