Would you like to see tenacity offer piercing damage resistance?

    Yes

I don't think we need piercing resistance added to tenacity, preferably I'd rather see damage resistance dropped from tenacity and replaced with a direct damage reduction so all classes benefit from it equally.

Yeh right.. making the broken hr class even more op lmao.
Read xsayajinx1's post. That would be much better if you ask me.

Piercing damage can stay for HR/TR ... BUT... in my opinion piercing damage must be reduced to reasonable levels (max 10% of total damage). What needs a buff is the PHYSICAL damage of those classes.

Though, if physical damage gets buffed PvE gets out of hand.

    Warlock- Lv80. || Rogue - Lv80. || Wizard - Lv80. || Paladin - Lv80. || Cleric - Lv80. || Ranger - Lv70. || Barbarian - Lv70. || Fighter - Lv70.

No i dont think piercing damage should be added to tenacity, I do however feel that the Feats that allow for Rangers to Build with almost No Armor Penetration, as well as 1st strike TR feat. need a good Hard Look.

Adding specific patches to combat broken things like a house of cards is exactly what's gotten pvp into the mess to begin with. Mechanics that skip usual game mechanics imho always create balance problems. Whether it's piercing damage or unpierceable resistance it all the same. Also, this meta where every class has everything has got to go. Just because class X has both high damage and tankyness doesn't make giving class Y both the answer. Build choices should be limits to build your toolkit around, rather than this one perfect path for everyone to run around as demigods good at everything.

As for HR's and PB, reverting it back to using after mitigation numbers would, both tone it down in pvp, as well as give it a still needed buff in pve. Well that and it would once again respect hopefully someday relevant again choices in whether to build offensive or defensive stats.

PS. Just making part or the whole of it non piercing would more likely than not make it stupidly broken in pve, so that's pretty much out of the window

Just nerf the piercing in pvp. Don't care what you all say lol... there shouldn't be any power/skill/etc that ignores freaking defense + deflect + tenacity ! I mean what's the point stacking defense/deflect/tenacity if its useless against hr's and tr's anyway?
If you start complaining about not being able to kill without piercing then get good :/

hr piercing and tr piercing is somehow avoidable by expierenced players.
other classes have damage buff sources to their trees and deal damage like is piercing:)

Absolutely yes. Piercing damage in pvp should bypass DR but still be reduced to reasonable levels by tenacity. Pvp is seriously imbalanced in favor of TR's and HR's atm as amusingly enough both classes that have tenacity can also perm-stun and have stealth capabilities even without those ridiculous rings.

I also think anyone commenting should declare the class they play as I strongly suspect those voting no are all TR's & HR's lol.

Playing GWF since mod 2 and still didn't find out how to avoid piercing damage... is my shift button broken?

Every single time I mention that, I am told to use Mighty Leap or Avalanche of Steel. :p

Aren't GFs more powerful than HRs in PVP?

Nothing beats piercing damage. That's also the reason TR/HR couple made the 1st place in russian tournament.

I don't know about 2v2s, but I'm assuming in 1v1s GFs and TRs are the best classes to clear other players?

I don't use PD, I am a trapper. I will only say this. Get on the MIC, work together and the PD issue is resolved. Need help with your build Taco?

One of the most obvious, overlooked broken things in pvp, besides gfs overperformance in damage, cc, tanking and mobility.

@david#8871 no thanks man. Taking a break from pvp. Always been a PvE guy myself. Just curious about the community's opinion.
