@urabask hugely popular yea, thats why there were like 10 people total speaking for the Paladin class on the preview changes thread. I dont care how many wagon jumpers were abusing the Paladin's overpowered mechanics OK. Those were not pally players, those were simply class jumpers who only seek the fotm.

The same thing is true of DCs. Most of the good OPs don't even post on the forums much anyways,

I gave up on that thread. No one was responding to say if we were even being heard.
... If SVA gave 500 VB per run I'd have been fine with it. The drop rates for marks aren't anywhere near high enough for them to justify burning a key every time though. ...
That's an idea. As a BiS AA DC (I wish I could be DO, but everyone gets mad at you O.o), I only do pity SVA runs with the guild to gear guildies. There is literally nothing in SVA worth the time and effort of running it after one's weapons are done. If there are PuGs asking for a DC there is zero incentive for me to help them out. I'm looking at a minimum of 10 minutes of playtime, more like 15 after que formation, to run around AAing a bunch of undergeared players that don't even understand the mechanics, let alone try and follow them. I'm expected to spam AA so the DPS mad fools can just stand there attacking without ever having to PLAY the game; the world might end if they have to loose personal damage by standing on a rune!
500 VB still wouldn't be worth my time to help total stranger PuGs, as it's all of less than 2 minutes of relic farming, but at least it'd give me SOMETHING for my time.
Ideally I'd like to see the relic-weapon specific refinement items that drop in SVA and elsewhere to be tradable for VB, or even for specific loot in a campaign-style store.
Mostly I agree with the sentiment of the OP, if the game designers expect me to "help-out" low geared players still grinding, and god forbid, NEW PLAYERS leveling toons into the content 3 months from now, I need something to compensate me the physical time I have to take out of my normal activities. Ya, I do pity runs in PE at least once a week, not a lot of stuff to do when you have all the gear, but there is a HUGE difference between zoning out helping 2k iL people walk through MC, and actively playing correctly in SVA with the entire raid expecting me to spam AA as fast as possible so they don't die well face-rolling their keyboards.
The design philosophy of Neverwinter has turned into "gate all advancement with as much game-time investment as possible so more people will buy ZEN shortcuts and as a bonus we don't have to create as much actual content." Well long-term this is a great way to kill the game, they seem to have such a target fixation on this "idea" that they didn't even bother to consider if the player base would even be ABLE to do the grind 2 months in. On the other hand, maybe they did consider that and the thought of players struggling to find SVA groups and, once finally getting in, struggling to complete the encounter, and the net result of the time gate being even greater, appeals to them. |snip conspiracy theory!|
End of the day and the TLDR version: give end game players a reason -- ANY reason -- to help less time-invested characters complete SVA, or the dollar sign bottom line will be hurt. It doesn't matter if the content is designed to encourage people to buy ZEN keys if they can't even get to the chests to use the keys.

Maybe 3 months from now. Currently most groups I've seen have averaged 3.8-4.0k ilevels. They may not have been as fast as you at getting the marks, but are no less time-invested, I'd bet.

All of it. I only run msva now if I think there is a **chance** the group might get me a banner. Oh and to help guildies and allies.. *ahem*
