yeah, prestige is on a far worse wall than Strongholds: overgeared premades. I invite you to fight them with a char wearing battlescared gear and half boons without any legend gear or SH boon.

that's why you should progress as far as you can in PvE befor entering PvP. I have a 3.4k DC that I've never stepped foot into PvP with before the first solo queue event and managed to get him 2x burning, and 2x Warborn in just those 7 days. Like 2400 tenacity right there. If you're upset that a fresh 70 can't compete then I agree, but that's like "yeah ...no HAMSTER!"

There's even stuff on the trade house that has tenacity for next to nothing if you're just starting out. I wouldn't recommend PvP post 70 to anyone under 3k ilevel. Get your enchantments and your boons up post 70. Then get gear off the trade house or trade bar store, or even guild hall if it's available.

"There's even stuff on the trade house that has tenacity for next to nothing..." which is about what the blue battlescarred gear is worth. The greens are worth less than that.

Thank you. Plus one for that statement.

Since there isn't a iLevel limit convenient for those lacking it in PvP, PvP at your own risk.

I got into PvP early, I guess (iL3400), started with most of my offense in place and backfilled as I progressed through PvP and Siege.

Exactly this, i never stepped foot into PvP until i had high level Enchants and a ton of PvE experience including most Boons etc.

Back to topic i personally absolutely loved solo queue and made a thread asking for it to be made perminant, which generated quite a bit of positive and negative feedback.

I must have got extremely lucky with the queues, i played about 4hrs PvP each day the last solo queue was up and never ran in to any pre-made problems. Had so many good games with just a few bad ones, a few unbalanced ones. Killed lots of Guild/Alliance members and also got smashed myself by some. I only play PvP now when the solo queue is up... just so much fun.

pvp in this game is probably the worst ive ever come across and i've played wow, 3 days straight now ive tried pvp day and night and all i find is premades consisting of groups of friends (all of them on both sides) one side letting the other cap all points then sitting idle until its over and if you try and fight you get kicked instantly.........thats not pvp thats not skilled and thats not fun at all........just had about 6-7 games just now consisting of this every game.......if i sat idle i dont get kicked but dont get points either but if i fight i get kicked......

Okay, full disclosure, I did not say ".... that's why you should progress as far as you can in PvE befor entering PvP. "

That was @nickjdowe , but something went wrong when I tried to quote one line from his post. Sorry for the confusion.

Personally, I do not think that PvP should be reserved for only end-game players, or only those that have full boons, or only only certain guilds. There is a place, or should be, for players of all levels, regardless of how much they spend, or how long they have to grind away each day. I'm not a beta-player, but I DO remember what it was like to PvP before mod 6. There were 3 possibilities when u queued for PvP. 1) You got rekt. 2) you had an even match that went right to the end, 975 - 980. Never knew til the last seconds who would win. 3) You rekt the other team. I ebjoyed that PvP, even when my team was getting rekt, cuz I knew I could queue again & have a 50-50 shot at a win. I would like to see PvP go back to that model. Don't know if it is possible, but I don't think that any player should have to grind away for 6 - 18 months to QUALIFY for PvP.

drewhayes, couldn't agree more with that.

alot of us new or old players enjoy pvp in most games where is it available and for a lot pvp is a big part of games we look for,and again for most games they don't have a 6 months+ grind fest, boon, massive over gear or guild premades requirement just to be able to set foot in it not to mention broken mechanics and general game play, bots, hacks, glitchers.

seems the devs have lost all in interest in the game and its just a money grab nothing more......i've played wow for a long time, many years and in that you're able to pvp at any level and have a chance....yes you have premades yes you have overgeared people but in wow you still have a chance unlike this one....

pvp in any game is an integral part of it (except this one) because not only is it a break from the grind, the daily routine of grab quest complete quest grab quests complete quest 6000000000000 times a day but it allows you to learn and think on your feet usually improving your play style, ability use and timing.

in this one you come across players which are godlike, simply don't die no matter how much damage you do or how much you train them and then there is one shotting here there and everywhere then there's the speed buffs (completely unfair however you look at it) the damage output on most classes far far outweighs the hp pools then there's also the healing for the already immortal classes.

Well, to some degree, the statement applies. PvP is managed by level until 70 and could be managed by iLevel after 70. I recall entering a match when I was 2.2k iL, not fun when the other team is comprised of 3.3K and better. Now we have the majority on the cuffs of 4K demolishing the newer toons.

Such a queue system at this time would probably dilute the pool of players depending on how its divided. Just a thought.

Solo queue is trash because premades wasn't the big problem, gear gap is. Until the players and the developers understand this concept, you will keep running into the same problem.
