DPS classes have better chance to get new Superior marks

Maybe i am just very unlucky but after 10 runs at Master Svardborg and only 1 superior mark . I am starting to feel it is just like trying to get a legendary ring from edemo. I play a DC and just like edemo i hear and see so many DPS classes getting the good rewards "superior marks" same with rings from edemo. Many from my group ended up with 6 or more from the 10 runs if this keeps up i see no point in even trying to get weapons upgraded at 1per10 runs x 30 needed then figure we need 10 of each type maybe 500 runs latter i will have one upgraded.

Luck. I'm a DC too and share your frustration. But unfortunately, I see no evidence of our plight being anything more than a lack of luck. RNG gods... we need to win their favor.

I was with a tank in regular demo, and he got a +5 on a bronze run from the chest. I have my +4's but seriously?

If you ever figure out which sacrifice helped you out, do let me know... please...

I believe I read somewhere on here, or ingame from a former dedicated CW, that after some rather thorough testing, they concluded that you need to do about 1k runs to be statistically guaranteed all the items you need for legendary weapons, regardless of class. GL/HF.

Edit:
This was before launch, so they could very well have tweaked RNG since then.

the DC i run with nearly the hole day yesterday got as many leg marks as me (about 15) so i dont think it depends on the dmg you deal.

Ye, I just had a chat with some alliance and guild people who can actually enter the place (i'm a few days behind due to nearly no play time last week), and they could confirm what you say there. Not too rare. I just hope that is as intended

DPS doesnt have a better chance of getting higher marks. The rewards are depending on the gold/silver/bronze the teams achieves so the rewards are groupwide the same (same like demo).
Currently playing a support cw (with very low dps) and I cant complain about the amount of leg marks I got. I have heared the rumor more than once in M10.5 but it simply isnt true

just an excuse for bad luck lol

What should i do to have SOMETHING from a chest?

I got 2 horn's of lostmouth - 1 by tankOP with very big lags so we take all damage that was in dungeon,
2 with SW's puppet. SO NO CHANCE FOR ME TO HAVE ANY REAL DROP?

I running CN with my DC it's somewhere in 1-3th by damage and 1-3 by heating but still no Ocrus artefact;
but tanks got it often, because they are tanks and can take a lot of damage ~6kk
when i trying to heal I used ALL healing skills I even didn't use AA, most of time it was Angel of faith or wharever I got 6,5kk of Heal but still no have artifact. I like fast run, i can it so why i shoudn't?

My friend plays gf he has currently 19 legendary rings, he's played and farmed a lot of things in this game its all down to RNG. ^~^

My only two orcus artifacts dropped on my GF when it was tac spec'd and was dealing 4-5 million a run. All my +5 rings have dropped on my AC/DC which does around 7 million a run.

The idea that you need to deal damage to get drops is an outright load of BS. It's all RNG and you have bad luck. Welcome to the club.

This is not strictly true. DPS actually does have a better chance @ dropping rewards. Kind of. Every player gets one chance. top of Paingiver gets one ADDITIONAL chance. But. So does the top of the healing category. Hell, even the player that dies the most gets an extra chance. & if you can top 2 or more categories... that is the best you can get. Of course, each chance is a NEWchance, so RNG still rules. Good luck everybody/

If this is true, I should be grateful to all this PUG groups I ran with, when I was 1st in all categories except number of deaths. Now I understand all this GWFs and CWs running in front of the tank. I thought, that they went for paingiver. The real goal was top in most dmg taken.

Would be nice, but I dont think so. It is pure rng. Some ppl are lucky, some not.

As a DC, I've found 4 superior marks in about 35 master runs, 1 rare horn of Valhalla and +5 ring of stein and many +4 rings.
Unfortunately the real drop chance is not known and we can only live with our impressions and some row estimations.

As there are more DPS than DC it could seem to the DC that DPS classes are favored.

My only two orcus artifacts dropped on my GF when it was tac spec'd and was dealing 4-5 million a run. All my +5 rings have dropped on my AC/DC which does around 7 million a run.

so your gf got it. i said about cn because there you can take a lot damade, even in fast run, Nyway you will have it. but not heal. for my dc is better to do a dmg, it brings me epic drop sometimes, but when i lazy and just going with healing word i get only blue drop. i don't say that heal isn't need but you just haven't a time for this in speedrun. and a time is importent too.

i got few legendary rings on ndemo. i remember i was a only healer there, sometime you can take it when you are 3-4 in list, i know a sw with 2.6 that got a ring . why? i think because for his ilevel he did a great result, maube. maybe you need a do much bigger damage to got lerendary things or art's. 1 dps 4 tank 1 healer got a great chance. but sometimes we have a dungeons that you shouldn't be firs, because you should buff. so in most times i got nothing for my job.

My Gf usually comes in second or third for damage taken because it's immune or guarding. I've gotten all six of my +5s in CN on my DC. I've also gotten 3 of my 4 superior marks in sva on my DC.

The whole idea is complete speculation because it's just RNG. You're looking for reasons to confirm your theory but have no proof when there are plenty of examples that disprove your theory.

I don't think this is pure speculation. My memory is very faint, but I think there was an official statement of some kind. Probably around the time of Demogorgon being added. That if you top one of the lists you get an additional chanse of winning. If someone are able to dig it out, we might get it confirmed.

I've seen no point in getting the weapons as a DC since they were introduced. HEs are not fun to me and neither is picking up relics for voninblood.

This mod doesn't have anything including gear that seriously interests me in progression for my main class.

The amount of power on them for a DC is better- that's about all. I'm a casual player and I have a 40+ hour work week and real life. The grind for the gear from this mod hasn't offered me anything that I feel is a good investment for my effort and time I can invest.

haha.... just now, CW got orange ring on FBI. He didn't much damage or healing or tanking... he just died 28 times.
good rangom system, healer got 5th stone, random sayed: you're a very bad bad healer your CW is dying all the time

I am a DPS, I have never had a +5 Ring drop of any kind out of literally 100's of runs of CN, Edemo and the Skirmishes.

We took a fresh lvl 70 GWF to POM. His first run ever. Terrible gear. No dps, no clue. First drop for him: ring of rising precision +5. It is pure luck.
