Account Breaking Mailbox bug that Arc refuses to fix...

About a month ago I began to notice that when I sent myself mails to move things over to my alts (salvage, marks, etc.) I was "losing" some. The mail would send, instantly appear and disappear. I put in tickets as I'd lost a sizable amount of AD over time but the only thing they ever conceded and return to me was 5 Grandmaster Jewelcrafters (and they bound them).

That seemed like a bad issue in and of itself, but I began to notice that my mailbox was going red (full) way faster than normal. It appears these lost mails were still counting to my limit. So I sent in some tickets and was form mailed away every time by customer service even as it got worse and worse. Last weekend was the final straw as my mailbox finally degraded to only being able to hold 2 mails before being full. I tried over and over to get help to no avail. I'm now stuck at 1 single mail before I'm full and I expect to be perma full any day locking me out of the AH buying and selling (I asked them if this is possible but they don't seem to know).

Here is a clip of my mailbox right now:

Here is what happens when my mail is lost and sent into the Twilight Zone:

http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/Mercbenz360/video/23410859

Here is what I've tried:
Deleting every mail on every character to a blank mailbox
Going through every character and pulling everything down off the AH.
Clearing my cache and relaunching
Removing everyone from my block list
Installing on a different Xbox

This was done both pre and post today's patch.

Pretty disappointed that after 1.5 years playing Arc couldn't care less about this issue.

I very much hope that someone can get this fixed. @terramak @panderus @mimicking#6533 Can someone please look into this?
My opinions are my own. I do not work for PWE or Cryptic. - Forum Rules - Protector's Enclave Discord - I play on Xbox

I've already read your pain on reddit and all fingers crossed this gets resolved somehow.

We've made a potential fix to this issue on PC in Module 10b: Sea of Moving Ice; there was some strange interaction with the ignore list where players could somehow ignore themselves, but I'm not deeply familiar with the symptoms (for example, why it was inconsistent on your videos - does it always occur for one specific character? When sending to the currently active character? etc.).

It looks like you've already done all the troubleshooting steps I'd recommend. The last thing I'd suggest is checking your Xbox profile's mute / block / ignore list and seeing if there's anything that looks similar to your Gamertag on there, but that may be a bit of a stretch.

Sorry I don't have a better workaround for you. The Shared Account Bank would be a safer way for you to move things from one character to another, but I understand that's less convenient than using mail in certain cases.

@terramak is there a way to view people you have ignored ingame?

Darn, I don't think there is a UI-driven way to do so on Xbox One, and in testing, running the /unignore command on myself (just the @handle) pops an error message stating I can't run the action on myself. (Haven't tried /ignoring myself, or /unignoring just my character name.)

I've identified the specific fix to this in Sea of Moving Ice, and I may be able to pull it in if we have another fix update before the Winter Festival (not a module release). We'll need to weigh the risks and dependencies before we can commit to getting the fix in then, though. Regardless, unless something unexpected happens, this issue should stop occurring when Sea of Moving Ice comes to Xbox One.

most of the profession stuff cant be put in the shared box

when this happened on pc and we still had gateway, logging into the gateway would sometimes show the (hidden) messages and allow you to delete them.

but ive never trusted the mail. not since a 7 day coffer went missing once. ;D

This has happened to me on the PC. All I got from support was the run around. I even had a mail with an attachment that could be seen from the gateway but not from the game and they wouldn't do anything about it. I argued with support for about a month. They wouldn't reimburse me for anything. They basically told me to take a hike. Literally for (9) months now I can only have (1) mail with an attachment before it turns red.

Welcome to the club *balloons* I have been reporting this ancient bug for 3+ years and "they are looking into it". Prepare for nothing, they will never address to it until 99% of the player base has encountered the same issue. My advise to you is just to never send yourself or have people send you mails WITH items. For mails with just text you will have to check with your friends if they actually arrived It's ridiculous but you get used to it after a while.

My topic about it here http://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/neverwinter#/discussion/1219701/item-stuck-in-my-inbox-for-3-years-support-cant-help

Thank you very much for following up and helping me; it is incredibly appreciated and means a lot to this long time player and often advocate. This is a very difficult bug to continue on with, especially as a guild leader since members donate things to the vault through me. I have very little shared bank space so the act of moving things around is now painfully laborious and time consuming. However my big fear is getting locked out of buying and selling from the AH and\or losing the last open spot. I did some testing with mail full and I can still buy but any confirmation I won't lose mail entirely (thus AH access) may make continuing to invest time and money easier to consider.

    Thank you again

@Terramak they ran the fix and it worked on one character getting me one mail back. Its been almost 2 weeks without any other help.
