www.guildmedieval.comGuild Medieval was founded in 2001 as a haven for Diablo 2 players wishing to play in a mature, safe environment free of hacks and obnoxious behavior. We have since branched out to DDO, D3, WoW, PoE, NW PC, ESO, SWTOR and are exploring other worlds besides. In DDO we are known as The Silver Legion, and have become one of the largest, most successful, and stable guilds on Cannith. Our Neverwinter PC guild was formed in beta phase of the game. We are still very active there.
Now we decided to duplicate our efforts in Neverwinter PS4 starting a guild and offering a home to any gamer that recognizes the value in our level of organization and sterling reputation. We are family-friendly, helpful, and courteous. Thematically, we are built around the idea of feudal kingdoms and orders of knights with a strong code of conduct. Many of our members form friendships that last beyond the games we play (some have even gotten married).
Guild Medieval is foremost a community of like-minded people who happen to like playing online games together. We are only concerned about the person behind the keyboard, and not your gear or accomplishments. When joining us, you join our community which means interacting with members on our forums and not just in-game. We are always recruiting, and our requirements are strict.
*No Profanity.
*No Harassment.
*No Sexism/Racism/Bigotry.
*No Hacks.
*No Cheating.
We encourage fair play, courtesy, and camaraderie, with players both in-guild and out.
Register on our forum to see our full list of rules and policies, and fill out the application. All serious applications are considered and replied to--this means filling out the reason for joining with more than just a couple sentences. Responses are usually within 48 hours. Check back for PMs on our forums regarding your application. Applications with little information, poor grammar, or generally showing a lack of earnestness will not be considered.
To reiterate, we are highly selective. We are a guild of friends, and it's hard to make new friends with someone who doesn't make an effort in an introduction. Showing us you want to belong and value the same things we do will go a long way in your application. Your application is viewable by any member, so keep in mind that this is how you are presenting yourself to the guild.
Please use this thread for any questions you may have.
Q&A Section
Q: Are there playtime requirements?
A: None at all. Play as much as you like. Even if you quit Neverwinter, our forums are open to you (given that you have become a knight--a full and permanent member of the guild).
Q: What timezones do you play in?
A: Guild Medieval is international, with members split about evenly between the Americas and Europe, and with a good representation from Australia and East Asia. Peak times tend to be evenings for both US and EU, but there are usually a few members on at all times.
Q: Is Vent/Mumble/TS/GameVox required?
A: Nope. Some members have hearing difficulties or just don't like using it. Some have to have it off for household considerations. You will need to communicate by text chat though.
Q: Is it required to use the guild forums?
A: Yes! We are first and foremost an online community, one that happens to play games together. You do not have to be a posting maniac, but you do have to show that you can and will participate.
Q: It's okay to swear, talk about doing drugs, sex, and other "adult" topics, right?
A: Well, no. When we say "mature" we also mean having the ability to keep polite company. We are family-friendly, meaning we keep things we don't want our children hearing out of our guild gaming. You can swear to your heart's content with your mic off, but we keep our forums and chat clean.
Q: What are your age requirements?
A: Under 16 we take some consideration. Otherwise age is not a factor. As long as you are mature in thought and action, that's enough. We also have a special "Page" rank for younger children of members.
Q: What does your guild provide to its members?
A: A safe and friendly gaming environment. That's all. We get you away from griefers, cheaters, the dishonest, and the people you just don't want to be around. We have lots of nice members who gladly share loot and will help you in many and various ways, but none of that is guaranteed. A lot of what you get out is what you put in. Share and be helpful, and you'll see it come right back to you.
Q: How skilled/experienced do I have to be to join?
A: Skill and experience are not factors in joining or becoming full members of Guild Medieval. We have very skilled players and players that are still learning the game. We are only concerned about the person in front of the screen. If you have the qualities we share that make you a good person, and not necessarily a good player, we will be happy to have you.
Q: I put in an application but didn't hear back. Was I not accepted? What should I do?
A: Remember that communications are handled through our website. After you apply, you do need to check back on the site, especially to see if you have received any Personal Messages (PMs). Also check your spam folder since we do send e-mail by default when you receive a PM, post in open forum we have for waiting applicants, reply to this thread, or speak to me personally. Once you are accepted, you'll have a rank of "Squire" and will be able to view the rest of our forums. Check our site even if you did not receive a welcome letter by e-mail.
Q: I put in an application but I didn't get any e-mails or PMs, and I can't even log into the site anymore. What happened?
A: You were either outright rejected, or we attempted to contact you via PM on our site and you did not reply within a week. See above about how selective we are. Things that will get your application rejected:
*Breaking rules in your application like swearing (yes, even acronyms and replacing letters with stars), or giving graphic examples of derogatory behavior you have encountered elsewhere. We already know it is out there so we don't need specific examples of horrible things said to you or witnessed. Your application is publicly viewable, so we cannot allow those examples in the applications. Keep your application instead positive and focused on how you and Guild Medieval will be a good match.
*Applying with a forum, account, or character name that breaks our rules. We get a surprising number of these despite detailing what is not allowed in our rules. Check your names over. Do any of them break the rules that you agreed to before filling out the application, or could they be interpreted a way you didn't intend?
*Only writing a couple sentences or telling nothing of substance about yourself. Your gaming history is fine to list (we actually have a separate place for it on your profile once your account is created), but it could belong to anyone. What is it about you that will make our members want to know you?
*Poor spelling and grammar. We don't expect perfection, and understand difficulties especially if your first language isn't English, but we do expect your best effort. Communication is very important in online games, and if your application gives a headache to someone trying to decipher it, it will not be considered.

I highly recommend Guild Medieval!
If we're running a dungeon and get wiped for a stupid reason and I type something like "Oh f*** that" into chat, would I get into trouble?
As advertised, we are looking to recruit the person behind the screen, not your GS, gear, or skill.
I discovered GM as a Neverwinter player on the PC back in 2013 and it has become my gaming family ever since.
We are looking for mature people who respect our rules and each other. We have a great atmosphere going and we strive to keep it that way.
For more details, checking out the rules, or applying, feel free to check out our website.
Cheers!
We are growing very quickly, and it is very exciting and rewarding each time a new member joins. Everyone brings something new to our "family". To coin a phrase from another organization that is near and dear to my heart, "If you want what we have, do what we do" - be respectful to others, be yourself, share with us, and you won't be sorry.

Just an update on our guilds activities. We are now running regular weekend events for both high end and casual players and we have also started running weekday events as well. We try to accommodate all play styles so no one feels left out, whether just working on story content or tackling end game content we have regular events to suit everyone.

What we offer is our community and what we are interested in, is the person behind the keyboard. We are looking for people who feel the same way about gaming, and are not that interested in the actual in-game details.
Though I do understand where you are coming from, and there is nothing wrong with that, since the in-game specifics are important to you, our guild is probably not what you are looking for.
Thanks again for your interest. I hope you find the right guild for you
If that's what you're looking for this is just the place. Found these guys here in this thread and I'm very glad for that.
Come along and join Guild Medieval!
Atm we run a lvl 4 stronghold and progressing pretty fast, but we still need all the help we can get
So don't be shy and check out our website !
Yfel.
Shy, talkatives, snake dancers, completionists and end-game scouts, all are welcome and have equal importance! (Even if, soon, snake dancing may become mandatory.)
You join here a huge multi-gaming community with a heart, its forum, active anytime.
Will we master NW end-game? Probably. Tomorrow? Probably not. The day after? Yes, with your help.
Let’s recap: we want YOU! The player will be a great addition.

Neverwinter is a fun game, and it is challenging. I am the type of person who strives to do well in everything I do. When I'm soloing, I get frustrated at times; but I can always tap one of the guildies for advice/tips, whatever, and the thing that stands out for me is the reminder to just have fun with it!! When grouping up with folks for an event or if I happen to ask for help with a quest or encounter, it's not just about the event or quest - we have fun discussions about anything while playing and it makes it that much more enjoyable.
I can't say enough about this guild and the people in it. Please join us and find out for yourself just how special Guild Medieval is.
I'm a semi-serious gamer in that I take the games I play seriously, but the number of games I play is relatively small. NW was the first MMO I've ever played, and I put off joining a guild for ages because the thought of meeting 100 some strangers at once terrified me.
Then one day I happened upon Guild Medieval's web presence and immediately felt at home. We have serious gamers and casual gamers alike. What I found most welcoming was the forum because it's a way to get to know members (thereby ridding my fear of meeting strangers en mass  ). Every single time I've needed help with the game, like running epics for the first time or making a better build, the guild been there for me. We have a couple of standing events each week, but chances are someone will be on when you are (we have members from all over the world) if you ever feel like chatting or PUGing with at least one friend in your corner. At least, that has been my experience.
The guild also supports its members in other ways, from understanding that kids or partners (i.e. life) take precedence, to offering multiple pages of messages in support of real life losses and celebrations. I mean EVERYONE gets a birthday thread!
If this sounds like the kind of community you'd enjoy, come check us out www.guildmedieval.com .

I am very glad I had a spot of courage to sign up, this is my first mmo, what drew me to it was neverwinter to be honest.
I put off joining a guild for as long as possible as personally I don't do well meeting others and playing online.
Looking around on the internet this guild came highly recommended.
Its exactly as advertised, mature gamers of all interests just wanting to play with like minded people who understand life comes first.
Given my shy disposition the members of the guild made me feel welcome, no question too silly all willing to help me learn and grow on this game.
There is always someone on for company wether its just to so say a quick hey to or play with. The patience of this guild knows no bounds especially with myself dragging my heels with socialising; they go at your pace not theirs which is their greatest asset in my opinion.
Its true when they say the player matters not the character, and I for one am really glad I can say I'm a part of this group :)
This community is involved in many games, but want YOU the person behind the game to be more of a focus. We do get neck deep in whatever game we are playing and are quite proficient in progression, but GM isn't a sterile competitive ad hoc taskforce.
Don't worry about anything other than making new friends from all over the world and having the best gaming experiences.
Come play with us!
Most of my gaming life has been on the PC where (like us all) I've sat in game chats with people ranting with every form of sexism/racism etc. I was, and am, sick of it so 'safe haven' took on a different cast for me. My experience of GM so far is that they are a bunch of decent people who happen to like (and are pretty talented/knowledgeable about) video games. You're not to be abused for messing up in a dungeon (laughed at/with? Probably lol). You're not going to get harassed etc. You're going to have the most enjoyable time in your gaming life. It doesn't matter where you're from (I'm in the UK) as GM is global nor does it matter your age (16+ iirc) you'll be welcomed with open arms.
Yes there are quite a few rules but I've helped run clans/guilds in the past and know full well that without mechanisms in place to keep out/remove the 'bad wood' then things can go sour and fast. In short, GM want you not your toon! If you're interested please sign up:
