As mentioned before, missed lockbox keys could just be send to the player through mail, and we could then just collect them when we are back online.
It's not like this would require an obscene amount of time/money to be done, it's a simpe "Quality of Live" change, which could be delivered within a weekly patch.
And looking at how they "fight" botters by cutting one feature after the other out the game, i'd say to ask for a simple QoL change shouldn't be such a big problem.

Take a little, give a little...

They did that intentionally. If they wanted to send keys through email, they could have done that already and it would be a lot easier to implement. They intentionally spend time to develop a totally brand new UI to make sure you login to get lockbox key and dungeon keys.

Yes, they spend EFFORT to make sure you don't get it if you don't login.

I think of it like Netflix. I pay x amount for month of service. Now, if I don't watch for a week, do a call Netflix and demand a refund for the days I didn't use it? Nope.

Even Netflix will send you DVDs through the mail while you are on vacation.

... or when you buy a box of DvDs, you still get the full set, and not just the DvDs you actually look at in the end.

Both extremely poor (and incomparable) examples.

    They didn't offer '30 keys'.

The key to understanding this is the need for daily log ins and Cryptic's desire to keep this number as high as possible.

Your less than 100% satisfaction with their (subscription) program was accounted for, and it does exactly what they want it to do.
