Ability to freely respec in Protectors Enclave?

Do we REALLY need to pay for respecs and why?

I mean with all the changes in class powers, feats and Class Features a builder has to change a character almost every Module. Nevermind the weekly patch fixes, it gets expensive and it isn't right. Furthermore if you find other gear you are interested in you also face changes.

Even with the free respec one has to test the changes to said abilities to even know if they are worth changing to and the PTS is just another time consuming inconvinience.

Champions online at least have a test area where you can test the builds to a point and even that is not a solution. Marvel heroes used to charge for respecs but they grew up and now you can respec limitless times and even have 2 builds per heroes for free with 1 active at a time, 5 builds if you buy them or something. Now I'm not asking for this to be as good as MH but seriously?

Can we just have respecs freely available in Protectors Enclave or maybe in a building in PE? Cryptic/PWE can just keep earning a living charging us for EVERYTHING else.

    I really like gw2 style character respec. You can freely respec character, it's very fast (you don't have to respec everything if you don't want)
    ... maybe it's something that VIP would offer in future???

    You get 7 free respecs for completing the solo experience in the game. That's not counting any event drops or huge class changes that come with free respecs. And.. that's not enough?

    Then you complain you want something like STO, whatever they have. You also freely admit that you'll settle for something less than that but are not happy with the free preview server. Why not? What is it lacking?


    I count 1.

    @OP: copy to the test sever, you can test builds that way. Commonly done.
    Paingiver is not an acurratte or Useful measure of your actual sustained damage output, (i.e DPS), in various ways it lies. For a true idea use ACT. Link below:

    You get unlimited free respecs on the Preview server... CO and STO don't give free respecs either but both have test servers where it's free. NW is the same in that regard, so I'm not sure I'm clear on the complaint here. And yes, I believe it's 1 free respec from the leveling content.

    Oh - last I checked, each item in the token shop was a one-time purchase. Maybe that's changed, but when I've done the third eye in the past, I could only get one of each item.

    No, I'm afraid you have got that wrong. You can only obtain a maximum of 31 tokens from the campaign. More importantly, you can only buy one of each of the five items available to be bought with them with each character. Once you buy one, it is no longer available in the store. Not surprisingly, the total cost of the five items is 31 tokens :)

    Well if you think about it you can freely respec all you want
    just require an extra character slot and some grinding.

    VIP would still be paid for but it would be better than 300 Zen per token.

    I wish you had read my entire post. I've noticed not everyone read or understood the point of this discussion. How is the PTS going to solve us having to change a Build after patch fixes?

    "Some Grinding"? Surely you jest. The Forced Grinding in this game is borderline internet slavery.

    Back to my point, can we just have free unlimited respecs so we can "Play" or grind instead of copying characters to PTS just to test and then have to BUY the Tokens when changes are made?

    Personally, this is the main reason why I don't play NWO much anymore and spend my time in other games.
    Besides Grinding for Strongholds was becoming a drag.

    No wasn't kidding. As i said if you take some time to think about it.
    Take all the prosperity insignia's + Azura enchantments and put them on
    your new character and if you have 5 Mounts with Regal + universal slots
    and grind level 1 - 23 or 30. Probably take 2 or 3 hours maybe less and
    buy a repec from sybella every 2 hours or less. But that's if the person is
    Veteran. For beginners it will take a bit longer obviously.
