Hi all. Somewhat new player here. I watched a few videos and read a few posts regarding getting astral diamonds. One thing I've seen is to run dungeons and skirmishes for AD's. Even the home page (L) gives the tips about you can get X amount of AD per day for dungeons, skirmish, etc.

Over the last 3 days I've run several dungeons (of varying levels) but did not receive any AD. Is there something specific I need to do? Be a certain level (or run a level appropriate dungeon/skirmish). Is there a server reset time that I need to wait in order to start receive AD again? Etc.

Just trying to find out what I should be doing (or not doing) so I don't waste time. Thanks!

    When you run a dungeon or skirmish, you get ROUGH astral diamonds. You'll need to go into your inventory, then to the currency/riches (little gold stack of coins) tab, and then click the "Refine" button next to your Rough Astral Diamond count. You can only refine 36k/day (I believe), so you'll want to keep this from getting backlogged (though if you backlog every day, that's not really much of a bad thing).

    Thanks. This I knew, however when I ran the dungeons the past few days, I didn't get any rough AD or regular AD. That's why I was thinking something was wrong.

    Pretty sure you only get rough AD for the first two dungeons/skirmishes you run on each character per day.

    Note that for dungeons the AD is put directly into your account without any UI information about it.

    So watch your RAD standing before and after dungeon runs.

    If you pray and get your AD bonus up you'll get about 7000 per dungeon run up to 2 runs a day. After that diminishing rewards are huge and and you only get a few AD per run until the day resets.

    Thanks everyone. Just to clarify, it's not the first 2 times for each dungeon per day, but just the first two dungeons per day? Also, is there anything special on what constitutes a "day" in Neverwinter? Is it simply my time zone, what shows on my in-game clock, midnight on some server time, etc.?

    The max pay out are the first 2 dungeon and the first 2 skirmish of the day. The reset is based on server time. I believe is it 2AM PST. Note that the server itself is using Pacific standard Time that does not observe Day light saving time although the city where the server locates does.

    Game auto-refines at daily reset if you have rAD, up to whatever refinement you had left that day.

    Few other AD sources:

    Weekly quests in zones particularly sharandar, dread ring and protecting the portal (harper boward). Also pvp gives some.

    Awesome! Thanks everyone!! I'm in AZ which is Mountain Standard. We also do not do daylight savings.
