Can't trade items with a friend

Sorry if this has been posted before but I can't find anything about it. But every time I try to trade with a friend I get [Error] You can't trade with that player until they gain further mission progress. We can't seem to figure out what mission or why. We usually run with 4 - 5 people in a group, and he is the only one that can't be traded with. Does anyone know why or how to fix this problem?

From what I have read on the forums ARC implemented a function for players so that they have had to completed a certain amount of the game before being able to do anything like trading,AH, AD exchange in order to reduce the amount of scammers. I can't remember where on the forums I just recently read that as I come here often and read as many as I can but I know it's recent. All he can do is to keep playing through the maun story and it will unlock those things eventually. Sorry I'm not more specific but I hope this helps some.

This is a deterrent for gold/ad spammers. The criteria for when such will unlock is not available. He will have to, as the user above stated, keep progressing in the game on that character. It only takes one character to unlock the account, so once they've experienced and learned enough of the game themselves, they'll be ready for trading and further help by other players.

Due to this, we implemented some changes to Neverwinter on PlayStation®4 that will make it more difficult for spammers to function and harass legitimate players. Characters that were created before 8/25 at 8AM PT will not be affected by these rules in order to avoid any confusion.

Lastly, if you see these spammers in-game at any time, do NOT contact or purchase from them. Doing so puts your account security at risk in addition to other players. Astral Diamonds sold by these sites are often acquired by compromising another player’s account, or even yours! These sites are not condoned by any member of the Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment team.

Well i am level 64 with about 12 campaigns done and i still can't trade. I was told i would be able to trade after 5 campaigns but i still can't. Also i cant use the Tradehouse to cell anything and I'm almost done with the story mode but it's telling me i still have to complete certain missions that i believe i already ran. Can anyone help me get a better understanding on what exactly i have to do in order to trade with my guild mates.

A bit of a necro, but I'll try to explain, though it would be helpful if you took a screenshot of your campaign screen. It has to be specific ones. Unless they changed it again, you only have to do 3 certain ones (though they may have increased it to 5). Here's the list:
