Snr and disconnects are we being DDOS

been trying invoke for past hour i have 7 toons is anyone else havin this issue?

    Same here - taken me 56 mins to invoke, finally up to 2nd round... Been like this since about 30 mins prior to daily reset time

    Have the same problem, get a server dis all the time and game freezes all the time, my internet speed is fine on other things.
    Did a forced verify and it patched 170MB still didnt fix my issue tho.
    If you can't convince them confuse them.

    Are you using Charter? We are and have been having general slowness for the past few hours!

    I found a couple websites that are reporting Charter as having issues for the past few days, severe in some locations, not so bad in others. Today is the first day I've been having serious issues. My modem has reset about once an hour, but every trace route I do has dropped packets at nearly every hop! :(

    If there is a DDOS I am going to say it isn't Neverwinter, Cryptic, or PWE specific... my guess would be an infrastructure attack if more than just Charter customers are being affected. :(

    I'm not in the US, so it cant be a ISP issue. Everything else is working for me, except the game.

    Hmm, strange, I am having general issues with getting to some websites, but not others... which leads me to believe there might be a DDOS happening on some piece of critical infrastructure, or perhaps just Charter is affected.

    Strange only the game is having problems for you... hmm, I wonder who the ISP is for PWE? Charter perhaps?

    I tried loading up a couple websites that report on DDOS activity... they wouldn't load for me, so helpful! ;)

    Me too. Europe, insane "Server not responding", rubberbanding and disconnects. It started about 1h ago.

    @strumslinger - Andy we've got people from everywhere having issues. I know it's not affecting everyone, but We have US, Europe, Asia all being affected. :(

    I've had connection timed out, Timed out then with an IP address, disconnected, SNR, Log in and cannot invoke for up to 15 mins until it finishes establishing connection.

    I've even had periods where everything is perfect for 5 mins.

    Italy here and it has been terrible for 3 hours with all the same problems that @confusedpoof mentioned.

    My traceroutes are a mess of packet loss, though most of the hops are on Charter's own network.

    I am off to watch some TV shows, obviously something is happening somewhere and I don't think it's a PWE specific issue... I hope it is because then it'd probably be fixed faster vs some general Internet infrastructure issue, or DDoS issue! :/

    Login server doesn't work: a lot of problems and cannot retrieve the list of my toons

    Looks like things may have returned to normal, all trace routes are clear and general internet speed is good.

    I wonder what the issue was?

    Having the same annoying snr/dc'ing issues here all morning (I'm in New Orleans area)...and now having trouble with login screen. As all other websites I've used this morning have worked without incident, it's definitely a game issue. Hopefully they'll get it corrected quickly...hopefully!

    I just went through all my characters, invoked, did professions, collected keys, not one single SNR or any login/logoff lag whatsoever... the network issues I was experiencing for the past 8 hours or so has abated and everything has returned to normal for me.

    The issue is definitely NOT with the game, it looks like there may have been a DDoS attack, some networks may still be affected. However, for me, all network activity has returned to normal, that includes all game activities! :)

    Well, you are fortunate. There are still issues for some of us. Launcher issues, SNR issues....

    Still having issues. Internet is just fine and not through Charter. At the moment, the launcher is just a large black box. Earlier, when I tried to log on, got to select my character and took 15 minutes of SNR to get in game, only to not be able to do anything. Please, someone let us know that Cryptic is aware that many people are having these problems.

    This is incredibly bad today. I'm getting continuous disconnects and login server timeouts. When I finally get into a character it sometimes is stuck on "server not responding". Hopefully someone is working on these issues.

    Update: Continuing problems logging in and getting server not responding messages even while logging in. This led me to check task list and I noticed the arc client is stuck on "updating" with a spinning cursor near the top right. This process never seems to complete.

    Well, I took your word for it Sam, and managed to get back into game, but ALL the snr issues remain and are actually even worse than before. As stated in my previous post, I was able to get into and actually 'play' other games, so it IS definitely a game issue and not caused by my broadband internet connection...will wait and hope the issues are resolved soon. They are usually very good at getting such issues resolved fairly quickly, so there is still hope for my Sunday afternoon gameplay. :)

    I understand, I am just saying I don't believe the issue is necessarily with PWE. If there are DDoS's going on currently they may have simply moved targets. All throughout the night I was intermittently able to access the game and/or websites. Sometimes it would work great for a time, then boom, lag like crazy, sites not loading, trace routes missing half the packets, the works. It has been a crazy night for Internet traffic!

    For me, right now, all my trace routes are working, no lost packets, all websites load as fast as you'd expect, and the game is performing perfectly. If it was the game itself I would expect that while everything else is working the game would not be, but that is not the case... which leads me to believe it may be something external to PWE.

    In any case, the only people who really would know are the network devs for PWE, all we can do is speculate and pour over the few tools we have available to us, along with some external sites that track DDoS activities.

    From what I can see from a couple DDoS attack monitoring sites there are currently some attacks under way... and probably always are, the targets of these attacks are what can affect or not affect various people and your connection to the game.

    I hope the issues with your ability to connect to the game are resolved, and maybe... but probably not... we may get some info some someone who knows what the issues over the past 12 hrs or so have been! :)

    I've restarted everything, but cant even get logged in without a 70 second delay followed by minagerie of messages of no response from the server.

    For about 8'ish hours I was unable to do anything in-game, and a good majority of websites were also very unresponsive. This started around 1am CST and ended around 9am. I should note that I maintain a server in Canada, and while my connection to that server was also spotty, the times I was able to connect I did try connecting to various sites from it's location, and some sites worked great that weren't working for me and vice-versa. The Internet was really spotty for that 8 hour period, however, now everything is working great, all websites load fast as usual, the game is working great.

    Perhaps doing the old report trace route routine would help? Does anyone know the IP addresses or domain names usually used for trace route reports?

    You can do a trace route to patchserver.crypticstudios.com. Sometimes it will tell you it's connecting to the Xbox server, but just ignore that. That is the only address that they request you do trace routes to.
