Vip is definitely worth it, even if they devalued it alot.

You can get 2 dusk for alot of alts (soon to be new armors it appears) 2 dusk /2dragonflight, literally is one of the best combo sets in the game for the last year.

It gives you multiple keys. I use them daily, I make like 50-60k in these free keys a day.

It gives you access to quick utility routes (banking/map transfers) This saves up to 2-3 hours a week of riding around and doing nothing but riding around) and in terms of time saved in storage swapping and salvage. No more mailing junk to your alts.. throw it in the bank.

The daily free lockbox.. I havent bought a gmop in 6 months, I just wait for them to come to me, then use them when i get 6-7 in the bank.. this alone has saved me a few hundred thousand on all of my alts. (I have now like 7 alts in minimum all epic.. 1 in all legendary.. 1 in all mythic and 1 in mix legendary and mythic and a few legendary on alts as well.

I have won a couple medium sized awards (the 1-3 million ones) never a super great reward.. but hey.. its allowed me to flip them and buy mounts i needed, so no complaints.

Overall its been a MUCH better set up then before VIP..

I enjoy the perks from ran 12 vip.
I would gadly pay 10 bucks a month to maintain my vip perks.

It allows me to group up and use foundry anywhere, Teleport last second to stronghold for df runs, Salvage instantly after my thrown of the dwarves gods run.

Not to mention the bonus lockbox key per day.

    Fantastic idea.

I hate paying taxes! Why must I pay thousands of dollars in taxes when everything I buy is taxed anyways!

First allow me to clear something up about my original posting. I gave you my "opinion" if someone here doesn't understand the word, please consult Websters. I still have the trade bars on my account, not that I can find anything to spend them on, the ED keys will remain inactive on 2 of my 4 characters for a very long time (casual weekend player) as they are still mid 60 level. The other 2 should not attempt EDs since they are still collecting boons etc.. I can't sell those -- I don't see how anyone can place value on any item bound to character. I don't buy them from the AH thus they are junk.

I much prefer subscription games: superior support, better development, even playground, no raffles, and they are usually much cheaper; in those games you get everything the game offers for the price of a package, a good mount, a special companion and some AD in NWO.
Not to mention that as a customer, you can't buy everything, so when a game goes chap on developers, hosting, server or provider to compensate for unsteady cashflow, you can't do anything about it.

My second point is I agree totally with the above statement. I played Star Trek for over a year as a paid subscriber and had little issue with the game until it went free to play. Make this game sub and you will see fewer bots and gold sellers. They are not as willing to buy in on a game. Someone said "sign post" was a real cool thing. Sorry but all the subscription and paid MMOs I have ever played have map travel or some kind of built in taxi service. I really don't see travel as a HUGE time consuming issue when you can buy teleport scrolls dirt cheap in the AH during the CoW Event. I am at work, but I know I have more than 2 stacks in the bank still. So it is still my considered opinion that VIP in its current state is pointless and not worth 1000 Zen.

Not sure how teleport scroll can help anything. It can only go to either PE or Moonstone. I don't go to either place for a long time.

My main toon goes to Moonstone may be twice in a year.
My main toon goes to PE for only 3 things:
    1. pick up one weekly quest.
    2. Do one Maze engine weekly quest.
    3. visit seal vendor (waiting for the game to put seal vendor to VIP and/or in SH).

The only time I use the scrolls are when I am in real deep, like Whispering Caverns for example, and just too dman lazy to travel back to grab the mail. I zap out to Moonstone and right outside is a mailbox. I already have a fast mount and it seems rather a waste not to use it for most travel.

As I said, it is quality of life thing. With VIP, I can teleport to any map and 99% of the time PE/Moonstone is not the destination. And, I trashed those bound scroll for all my toons to save inventory spaces.

Another thing is I can grab the mail in the "real deep" such as Whispering Caverns without teleport to anywhere to begin with. I am more lazy than you are.

You gave your opinion about VIP, we gave ours. If you didn't want other people's opinions maybe you shouldn't have created a thread in the first place? ;)

    Hello Friends,

Even if not for the value, you are chained to the game. This is their plan all along. I would sometimes forget to claim my key in the morning and have to log on in the evening after work to make my claim. They made VIP to entice you to play daily and not just the weekends as I prefer to do. I believe I came out ahead on this ONLY because of last month's 50% off sale.

    --- Dymiral Saydon

Doctor DNA, I do play the game everyday, at least for a bit, and appreciate the ability to teleport from wherever--pick up mail wherever--etc. The lockboxes aren't always to my liking, but sometimes I get something worth selling--the rest of the time I pick up some RP. For $10 a month--in your case $5, I don't have majore complaints (until you get me going about wards. Tale for another day.)

Of course, I don't believe you bothered to spend cash on VIP. You exchanged something like 225,000 AD for that 50% off sticker. Pretty good deal.

You are also completely ignoring the dungeon keys, which even in the worst case scenario are worth 3k AD each. If you only get 1 key per day and you have 2 characters (you start off with 2) then its an extra 180k AD over the full 30 days.

Dungeon keys are worthless for those who don't do more than one dungeon per day per character; because they don't have that much time, so many characters, no big guild, or don't like to waste their time with running the same dungeon the fivehundredth time with no real chance of worthwhile loot.
You still can stack them... having them does not necessarly use them straight away...

The true value of VIP is not one month VIP1. It is VIP12.

VIP is for quality of life. VIP is for those who plays very often if not daily.

VIP12 gives you bank access anywhere,
you get 3 dungeon keys per day,
you get discount to buy stuff from AD store and the discount is stackable with AD store sales,
you get 10% more AD from anything that generates AD in game such as invocation, salvage, etc.
salvage stuff in anywhere you want, I don't need to carry the loot around.
If my bags are filled, pop a bank and dump them to bank(s).
If the bank is filled, pop a postal office and dump them to mail.

Why do I need to park in the garden when I can park anywhere and have access to almost everything?
Why do I need to park next to a portal when portal is always beside me?
If you run Maze Engine daily quest, you don't need to ride all the way to the portal.
I guess many people gives up for that easy 400 AD because they don't have the portal.

I don't use lockbox key daily. The RNG will always be against you that way. I find a quiet instance and open at least 30 keys in one shot. That is when you can get some good stuff.

Guys it's sill valuable ! No matter what you say, if you include all the things in the VIP, no matter what level you are, it will still be worth more than anything else from the zen market...
Regardless a debate about the drop rates in lockboxes...

VIP is one of the best things in the Zen store, in my opinion. No matter how you want to look at it, the 1000 Zen you pay has amazing value, from the perks to the keys, it is all very much worth the Zen.

I doubt my partner and I will play without being VIP as I would miss the ability to drop down a Signpost anywhere, or a Mailbox, or Salvage Anvil, or eventually once we hit Rank 12, a Bank. Not to mention the free AH listings, or no longer being injured, the perks are great value for the money!

If you value the keys over anything else it works out to getting 30 keys for 33.3 Zen a key, or about 75% off normal price, plus all the perks. Otherwise if you value the perks over the keys, then you are getting a lot of fantastic perks along with 30 free keys, plus all the dungeon keys.

Really, what is not to like about the VIP package? The only thing in-game I like just as much as VIP is the artifact that lets you drop down a vendor any time you want! :)
