In case you have trouble finding the pertinent information:
Any vigilance quests in your quest journal will disappear.
There will now be a campaign page tracking your progress in EE.
If you have not completed a sub-zone of an EE zone (like you, at 1/8), you will have to re-start that sub-zone.
Each sub-zone requires 5 campaign items to progress, so 5 quests (plus optional ones for HEs, etc.). At the end of those 5 quests, you will get a piece of equipment. There is a 4th campaign task -- completing it will reward a boon.
If you have completed any sub-zones in any of the EE zones, you will be credited in the new campaign and receive the gear and/or boons for that zone.

One question regarding EE campaign since original poster get the answer s/he is looking for:
Do level 70 character need to do all those steps to get the boons?I checked preview 10 or so days ago but didnt understand anything
Depends if you already did Old!EE or not. If you've completed each zone, it will be totally unlocked and all you need to do is open the campaign and click a bunch of boxes.
If you've completed some zones but not all, it will be partially done.

Seems not. Before the patch I had completed EE 100% and unlocked all boons months ago. Now I am on 40% and only 1 boon unlocked

How could you have unlocked all boons months ago, since there were no boons before?
As far as I can tell, all my alts were correctly credited with completing whichever zones they had done -- although I admit I didn't check every single one before the patch came out.
There are some issues being reported with EE completions. Some people, for example, have everything completed (and did everything before the patch), except that their Reclamation Rock only has the first task done and they get an error message about the others.

Yeah either Cryptic haven't communicated clearly how the new campaign would work or it's a bit buggy...or a bit of both. Either way, as long as I can complete it then I'm not too bothered as it's something a bit different to do until the next module hits.

My GWF has everything done in EE as I mean everything done and did not skip and jump to the next area. My GWF has everything available in the campaign and he does not need to do anything to get all the boon. My OP has 1st, 3rd and 4th area completely done but he only completed first 2 task in the 2nd area before he jumped to the 3rd. The first boon is available to him. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th are not. I guess he needs to go back to finish the 3,4,5th task in the 2nd area. MY TR has 1st and 4th area done.
So, I think even if you think you are 100% done, you are not exactly 100% done. Most people jump skipped ASAP to what they really wanted back then, the main hand.
One more thing, my GWF does not need to claim all the armours (to fill the inventory). He can just claim all 4 boons directly.

I claimed everything that I could on 4 characters and fed the stronghold mimic. All the outfits are ugly imo.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

Yes, but that still means I need to be n SH AND to shuffle stuff to have enough open slots to store all of them temporary. I can do that some days but not need to be immediately and in the meanwhile I can enjoy all the boons
One of the GWF helmet and boots look good. At least, look better than Dragonflight one. I transmute them to that.

Anyone knows where to get "Elemental Cult Orders"? they are required for last task in the campaign
Does anyone know the answer to this yet?
Go back to the areas and look for quests.. There are continuation quests available, for example 'Guarding the Shore' in Drowned Shore. It gives 3 of the elemental cult orders.
