Lillend healing and runstones/rings

Hey guys.

Yesterday I bought Lillend, and I'm wondering about her % based heals. I added power/crit stones/rings but It doesn't show a % increase in the tool-tip.

I did some testing and I was lucky to see her doing a crit heal on me so that's good.

When I unequipped her 274 power ring, the difference for her audio drain heal on my soul puppet was 387 to 381, and for me 418-411. For me this last number would equal to me having current 5971 hp. Yet I was at around 24k health.
I read that stat increase on companions are supposed to do a lot more compared to the pc, so I'm wondering if these small difference are correct somehow. Basic audio drain is healing 7% (current?) hp. That would mean around a 1700 hp heal, not even counting her power increase from items.

Rejuvenating chord (1.8 %) did a crit heal on me for 806 hp.
Non crit was at 529, while I have 27012 hp. This would equal to me having 29388 hp, and could explain her power increase.

So what's up with audio drain?

Also, does adding recovery to companions decrease their power cd? Again it doesn't show in the tool-tip.

Thx

Sorry. Had to edit the post. Must be getting tired. I thought about armor penetration but that's ridiculous.

Wait. Is it healing for 7 % of missing health? That could explain it.

I do not know Lillend-specific answers, but the companion power tooltips are not dynamic like players ones and will never reflect stat-based changes.

Recovery will make companions use powers more frequently, usually reflected in how many times they use their short cooldown in between casts of their long cooldown.

Really. I wonder why that is. After all, companions play a big part in this game. This sort of thing should be there on release. But, there's plenty of issues with the game so I guess.. whatever right? :) Focus on the good things!

I know how recovery works. It's just that I read somewhere that not all stat increases work on companions. That was an old post however, and I forgot the adress.

    Thx for responding

Audio Drain from the Neverwinter Gamepedia: "Deals damage over time to target foe and heals allies near the target for 7% of their health over 5 seconds."

If your HP was 24000, then 7% of this would be 1680, or, 336 per second.
Your companion's Outgoing Healing is modified by their Power stat (400 points = 1% increase).
Your Incoming Healing is modified by your Regeneration stat (400 points = 1% increase) or any Incoming Healing bonuses (i.e. from artifacts e.g. Sigil of the Devoted) or boons.

With respect to your Lillend's Audio Drain healing your soul puppet for 387 to 381: was this per second over 5 seconds? Note, the value 381 HP per second would correspond to it having an HP of 27,200 (not including outgoing/incoming healing bonuses). However, this source says the Soul Puppet has 25,000 HP, meaning there was an 8.8% healing bonus applied.

The Lillend healing you for 418 to 411 - again was this per second over 5 seconds? Even though it is not explicit in the tool tip, the "7% over 5 seconds" would be in reference to your Max HP. Therefore the value of 411 HP (if per second over 5 seconds) would mean that your Max HP would be about 27,012 if there was a 8.7% healing bonus.

Furthermore, one cannot be healed over one's HP limit, so healing in excess of this may not necessarily show.

With regards to Rejuvenating Chord, 1.8% of 27012 HP is 486 HP, however you said you were healed by 529 HP. This corresponds to an ~8.8% increase in the combined outgoing + incoming healing (which, interestingly, matches the bonus in healing from Audio Drain in the above examples). This increase would come about by your Lillend's Power (outgoing bonus) and your Regeneration stat (incoming bonus). For example, if your Lillend had 800 power (2% outgoing bonus) you would need a 6.7% incoming healing bonus (which is less than 6.8% as your Companion's outgoing healing bonus is applied first), which would mean you would approximately have a 2650 Regeneration stat in this scenario.

Hope I've answered your question. Let me know if there were other factors in play, or you had any other questions.

    N.B. Yes, Recovery shortens a power's cooldown.

    Thx for the clarification.

I forgot about regen (can't remember what I was wearing att) however I must not have had a lot of regeneration. At the most a few hundred points and maybe nothing at all, and no active regen bonus from companion.
The heal numbers I got from the log and I overlooked the whole 5 sec part of the healing. Silly me.

I'm sorry for the vague hp numbers. It's hard to test while getting damaged and keep track of current hp while getting healed every so often.
I'll try again some time. Get myself damaged and make note of my lowered hp then summon lillend and attack a combat dummy while not having any regen and see what audio drain does then.

It's probably working as intended but I just like see it for myself. I'm not a person who blindly accept things, especially game tool tips. However, my math skills only go so far and the formulas used in mmos are often beyond my understanding. It often seems devs just take a random number to work from to make it harder for the player to understand things.

    Thx again for the effort.

According to my testing Recovery does absolutely nothing to reduce CDs on companion abilities. I stacked over 2k Recovery on an epic War Dog and there was no visible difference in the speed of its attacks or abilities.

I'd also like to know the best way to gear my Minstral

Gear wise I figured I put power and crit on her to maximize her healing capability. 3x "cruel ring of smiting". Offensive sockets 3x crit. Offensive runes 3x power.

Since we can't really see what the crit increases do, and it's very hard to test it, I figured I would stack power and crit about evenly.

I have no experience with bonding runestones yet, but not sure if that's the way to go for a healer pet. Maybe better to get an augment with bonding stones and have the healer pet max it's heals? I can't say for sure.

Someone with more experience can tell you that.

    Good luck

Thx Lirithiel, I really hate these sorts of things. Why don't they make this info available? Players will waist AD on things that don't work. Glad I haven't bought expensive recovery runes/enchants for Lillend, cause my AD is still hard to come by.
