Character History Changed

So, at some point during the last update every one of my characters, my husband's characters, and essentially every one of my guild mates has their character history changed from whatever it had been previously (such as Shadovar Elite from Netheril) to "Battle-tested Veteran from The Dalelands". In fact, every character I inspect in the game has that set as their history. All the characters still retain the previous titles of their history ("Of Netheril", "Of Baldur's Gate") but as far as their character sheet goes, it's completely different from what it had been prior to the Strongholds update.

This happened with me too! The character history randomly changed to "Battle-tested Veteran from The Dalelands". It's quite annoying. Is there any possible way to change it back?

Me too!! My 1st character IS a Battle Tested Veteran from the Dale Lands so I thought it was from that but I guess not. Frustrating for me as I put a lot of time into a backstory for my 2nd character and I play her as her character (She's a TR from Luskan).
I hope this gets fixed quickly!!! I feel upset every time I open my character page and see that my tought street punk is not from the Dalelands.

As far as I know, this bug has not ever been acknowledged, addressed, or resolved. It affects all characters that existed prior to the module launch, and it's really annoying considering the effort a lot of people put into choosing the exact right background.

(And it's especially sucky that there's no way for us to change background or deity if we wanted to, but the game could just go right ahead and arbitrarily change it on everyone.)

Was starting to think I was the only one who had an issue with this bug.
I'm hoping they find a way to fix this or at least address this at some point; I'd like to at least have my minimal back story close to matching the characters' tabletop variant I've done up.

I wish they would fix this. I mean, I understand it's not game breaking... but I reported it back in November as well, and attached screenshots and still nothing.

This just recently happened on my OP as well. My TR still has his chosen history, but the OP is now a battle-scarred veteran from the Dales, rather than a Purple Dragon from Cormyr. Really bizarre.

Yes! "Dalelands". It happened to one of my characters first and the other followed sometime after. On the first I didn't mind so much but on the other, my lowbie that I specifically chose a specific history for, it really bothers me. It's happened to my friend also.

Please fix this.

I had just reported about this. My characters Bio had disappeared but when I checked recently it had changed from Impovrished Nobel - Waterdeep to The Dalelands Battle-tested veteran

Does the Character History really matter though? I can't be the only one who just speeds through that part of Toon creation right? I mean history does nothing to change the Toon, or the stats, or powers. So why does it really matter?

Disclaimer: Not trying to bash your post, just trying to understand the need/longing to fix such a random thing.
