Legendary Underdark Rings - How rare?

I'm an Xbox One player so originally posted over there but thought the question would be more appropriate here.

So I'm a GWF and I'm looking forward to getting some new gear in Mod 8. One of the items that I'm hoping to get are the Rings of Rising Precision +5 which give more Crit plus two Offense Slots. It was mentioned in the recent Developer stream that the Legendary Ring drop from the skirmishes are very rare. Too rare in many people's opinion.

As there are 5 rings that drop and different variations of each ring then what are the chances of getting this ring? Bear in mind I need it 4 times. Two for me and two for my Companion. Anyone who's been on PC shed light on this?

The crit ring drops from Prophecy of Madness; I've done it 200 times without seeing the ring. I'll do PoM every now and then but I'm at the point where I'm just assuming I'll never get one.

I have 4 chars with twisted set. All bought with twisted ichor. I also have 40+ t.ichor standing on 2 chars. That's just 100 edemo run as 3x gold, at least the same with not 3x gold. 200+runs? I've done a lot of skirmishes also. 0 legendary.
Even if a get legendary ring, I'd have around 1:10 chance that it would be the one I want.
So It's reallly stupid.
I would buy it for 100-200 Twisted ichor from merchant, if that would be possible.

not more than 60 skirmishes, around 200 demogorgon (most of them...like 180+ are epic demo).
Legendary rings found: 0.

thats how they artificially prolong life of "content", in the end you just give up earlier.

Thanks for the heads up.

Sounds like I'll be running No Sympathy a lot more for the Band Of Loathing unless there are better rings in Mod 8 for a Crit based GWF?

precision +4 is already better

Thanks. I take it they drop more frequently than the +5? Are they Bind to Acct or Character or not at all?

Account and yes in 60 runs or so you should be able to find any +4 rings

Yup... +4 drop in decent numbers... I run with +4 Rising Power and Precision

To put it this way...expect to get a +5 ring, but don't expect to get the +5 ring you want. Out of the many people I know in the game and the many people those people know, I only know a single person who has both of the +5 rings they want (power and crit). You more likely to end up like me and get +5 vanishing presence (or some other bad ring) then one that actually serves a purpose.

I went Rosegold for PVP and just keep personalized for PVE. I've given up on +5 rings. I can no longer count the times I've done eligible edemo/throne/POM and never got one--either good or bad.

I'm not giving up an enchant slot for a +4 ring, either.

No idea how many times I've run POM, throne, demo or edemo across 5 different characters but on my TR I got a legendary regen ring with 2x defense slots last weekend. I burnt a key to take it just because I've never seen one before even though it's pretty worthless on my TR main and primary alt (GWF).

I'll end up keeping it in my bank just to remind myself that every now and then the RNG gods do give you a crooked, gap toothed smile.

It is extremely rare. I run edemo about 50 times a week. I've had 2 legendary rings drop so far. +5 rising defense and +5 ring of vision(or something, I don't remember it because I'm not using it, it's in the bank of one of my alts lol). But it will drop, somewhere somehow it will drop, you just have to keep trying.

Okay first up - good luck, you are going to need it (and probably a sanity check after running POM like crazy).

Second - you will only need 1. You cannot equip 2 of the same Underdark ring (even if its a different level - aka, a +4 and a +5). So your toon will only need 1 x Rising Precision +5.

Companions (even summoned ones), cannot proc these rings, so you wont need any for the companion.

I'd recommend for DPS classes though for the 2nd ring either hunt down the Rising Power +5, or as suggested go with a Band of Loathing, or the usual Personalized rings of Piercing/Recovery.

+4 rings gonna get 2 slots. Patch is on preview already i think. So screw + HAMSTER. I can deal with edemo but pom? no way. Some farming foundries are more exiting. And certainly faster.

Yes + 4 rings will get one offense and one defense slot. +5 rings' drop rate will be inceased 2x. (Still 2*0 is 0).
So I will be happy for that +1 def slot on my rings.

Yep, saw the preview patch notes. Hoping the Xbox will get all the patches when Underdark releases on the 9th.

Hadn't seen that only one ring type can be equipped. Thanks for the tip.

Don't mention the foundry. Another thing along with Gateway we aren't getting on the XBone.

After patch our guilde made edemo runs. 14 edemo runs only with guildmates. That means you got a chance from drop and a chance from the chest. 14 x 10 players = 140 chances for drop and 140 chances to get a ring in chest = 280 chances total.
Result?
4 epic rings, 1 offhand, absolutely no legendary ring.....for 280 chances.....thats a really "good" droprate. Well done Cryptic.

Well the good thing is that there's really no need to chase after +5's anymore. +4's are already 2 slotted and the best ring types only have very little advantage over the +4's.

Thats true. But not every epic is good. From the 4 we got, only 1 was usefull. With this droprate it will be hard to make another edemo sunday afternoon in my guilde.

My hunt for the +5 defense ring continues! Ran about 28 triple gold edemos yesterday, didnt see a +5, but I did get another +4 defense ring so I replaced the bugged one I had.

After the patch I got my first ever +5 ring. It was rising focus (recovery), so it's at least usable but not the best thing. But I didn't get it from eDemo! I actually got it in a PoM chest.

The recovery ring can't drop from eDemo. If you want to see where the rings drop from just check your collections page and sort by location.

i gave up on legendary rings and being one which love to do both pve and pvp at nice levels without changing set and overall gear i highly prefer mixed slots to full offensive/defensive ones.

eDemo got the legendary drop rates doubled. Yet that's not what gave me my first legendary. I got it from the stuff whose drop rate remained at the same terrible value it always was. That it was a recovery ring isn't important, unless we get told that those are way more likely or something.

Pretty sure that was just poorly phrased. It makes more sense that they just doubled the drop rate of all the +5 rings.

Got a double-slotted +4 Ring of Rising Power today. Equipping that instead of one of the *expensive* Rosegold rings for awhile to see how it goes. Had been switching rings between PVE and PVP, but hope this combo will do the trick for both.

Perhaps off topic a bit but how much do the +4 rings salvage for? Or any of the gear that drops in the Underdark mod. Same as Alliance/Ward gear (3000, 4000 and 5000)?

6k rAD for +3,+4, and +5. +1, and +2 are 3k.

+5 also are worth 12,500 when you put them in the coffer for surplus equipment.
