How many characters do you play regularly?

vindojeensvindojeens Member Posts: 20 Arc User
I myself have no Level 70 chars yet but wonder how much time you have to put in to do dailies and other stuff a day? On how many chars do you all do it at all? Is endgame time consuming or not so?

Thanks a lot!

I have 8 characters, all level 70. At the moment, I'm focusing on just one, my GWF, but will alternate my DC and OP for dungeons.

When the Guild needs Influence, I'll pull all of them out of mothballs and grind SH HEs. I'll often do the same for other campaign currencies, especially Frozen, since not many Guildies have capped out their IWD boons.

i have 4 (gwf, dc, op, cw) chars out of which i play 3 chars regularly, but do daily quests only on my main (gwf)...

end game dailies are not too much time consuming for only 1 toon, you can get them all done within an hour and get 40k+ AD... i'm a casual player too..

    1. Hard to motivate myself even for that... If you count professions and invoking as playing then i play few more daily.

I used to have one character of each class and most of them at level 60 a year ago. This was, however, taking up too much of my time, and I left the game altogether. I returned last month, but since then I have only played one char - my DC....I do not even bother to do professions or invoking on the rest.
    Hoping for improvements...

Got 5 lvl 70, I play 1 seriously, the 4 other for prayer, making AD running tos, or dread ring mini dungeon.

just 1. ( I do have around 3 or 4, but I just play one) I find NW terribly unfriendly to alts, and I also don't have time to play more than one.

1 main, 1 alt I'm ever-so-slowly gearing up, and a few others that I'll invoke on or do quick dailies on.
I'd say my time is split 60% on main, 35% on alt, 5% on others.

Hello!!! My first character its a SS CW renegade lvl 70 pve wich is my main, and my other character its a DO DC righteous lvl 60 pvp. I run dailys with my CW and only do domination with my DC!!

I have 9 lvl 70s, 7 of them do sh hes for influence and dr dungeons for marks, only 1 gets RP and gets to enter dungeons, etc

It's to expensive and to much work to try and make high level alts. You can easily make 2.5 ilvl farm pretty easy

The real bite comes when new shinies are released and you start thinking about farming it on multiple characters.

I have four (DC, TR, HR, and GWF) at level70. I was playing them all somewhat regularly, but that was too much time. Now just one is regular.

I'm just curious--what do you consider dailies? I typically consider dailies the tasks you need to perform for the boons or for Stronghold content. They don't really provide AD, unless you count the Weekly tasks that will give 4500

At my iLevel, I find it difficult to get 20K AD in an hour, which would include two TOS runs, two skirmish runs, and a weekly task that provides AD. That is roughly 4500 (2) + 3750 (2) +4500 for 21K AD. I typically don't get too lucky on T1 dungeons to get good items to sell or salvage.

I'm probably playing the wrong content to generate AD.

I have 16 level 70s. 2 of each class. I mainly play just 3 of the though, my main DC, my main GF and my devotion OP.

Hmm well, i have 8 toons (one for each class) 5 of them have done all campains, beside last 2 tiamat boons, which has been done only by gwf and gf. I basicly main those 2, gwf is almost BiS (which mean i have full r11 set, which also means i need like 10mln ad more to acctualy make him BiS, so not so almost ;p), gf is on good way, also my cw & hr r pretty good geard and i will be bringing them up to 3k soon.

I run 10 elol daily in total (2.5h or so) 2 on each toon (5th is OP, coz he is easy to play) with 150-200k income daily. ;)

None at the moment. I am waiting until they can fix some of the many issues before I will resume. If they introduce a new class I may level it up the 1-60 as I still find that pretty fun.

    To answer the OP's Question:

I play 2 characters regularly- Healer DC and OP tank~ I have one of each class but the only one I've leveled to 70 besides my two mains is a PVE TR. I'm done with all the campaigns on those three toons. The others are invoke leveling from 60~ Since I've been back for strongholds I've been trying to level/gear another alt every few months so that I can help out with grinding SH stuff more. My IL on my level 70s are between 2.9-2.6k IL. My gwf or cw is next on my list to get to 70. They are still missing some IWD/Tyranny and of course underdark boons. One of my alts holds down a 'bank' guild that I share with my husband for extra storage space for enchantments/marks ect.

It generally takes me around 8-9 weeks from 70 to go from no boons to done on an alt playing casually~ it's been sped up considerably with the addition of demon hunter quests. I usually run quests with friends on their alts who are doing the same thing. IWD now takes me 18 days down from 35- for instance. Sharandar still takes me the longest- I don't know if it's my subconscious aversion to redcaps or the insane amount of sparks needed.

I don't even bother with the boons requiring Linu's Favors in the Tyranny campaign anymore- so effectively- I stopped the campaign there. I'm only missing the last linu's favor boon on my main DC.

I do play the game very regularly- on average I'm online about 4hrs on week days and much much more on weekends- Most of my time is spent on dungeons unless I'm grinding out currency for Strongholds. Most of my purple salvage has been going to the SH coffer lately. I have VIP so I have a daily keys for lockboxes and dungeon chests. I use the tarmalune bars to get wards that help upgrade my enchants and other gear and make weapon/armor enchants for my alts.

Some people I know grind everything- I just do what sounds fun most of the time and scrape by okay. The mote grind for weapons seems like a giant waste of time unless you just particularly want one of the weapons abilities. Everyone has said if you want an upgraded weapon get to 2.5k IL + and go for Epic Demogorgon for Twisted Weapons. ~ I'm personally tired of jumping on the constant weapon upgrade and have decided to chillax with all that until I can at least have a go at Masterwork stuff.

I have 8 characters, each of different class. I used to play all of them (at lvl cap 60), so I have almost every campaign finished (except Dragon and Underdark ofcourse).
My main character is TR, I play this toon since mod 3. There were times it was almost not possible to play efectively with TR, this is why I've created other toons. On all of them I spend some time. After TR it was GWF, then SW, because it was NEW!
After realising lvl 70 and increasing difficulty in dungeons I played DC and created OP as well.
Other classes (GF, CW, HR) I played a little, because I do not like their gameplay.
Now, I play TR most of the time. DC/OP if guildies or friends need one. I gear them up well enough to participate in all dungeons and skirmishes possible. Other toons are only for invoking and profession tasks, maybe some daily lair or weekly quest once in a while ;/

18 characters, 10 of whom are at level 70, 2 of those are my mains and are played regularly, one is a retired TR that I will one day respec, the others are of all classes and see occasional play. The last couple of weeks I have spent more time focusing on levelling another TR to 70 (to replace the retired one) and now getting another GWF close to 70. In addition to that there are a handful below level 70, 2 of whom are below 60.

I have one of each classes at level 70.
I have a main GWF and a CW. I play with them regularly, GWF is near BIS (he has everything refined, rank 12s, but I'd change some enchantments- new brutals and darks for defense, also has only zen mount) the CW needs some refine, but also nearly maxed. That took 2 years without paying money or using exploits. It can be done sooner, I threw away AD for some stupid things, transmuted a lot so my charackter would look good etc. The hardest part is the artifakt equipment refine. (However, you can do fine with mulhorand weapons, no need to go for Art weapons asap.)
I also play with my TR, HR or SW from time to time as a secondary char, or use it as main, if I need some change. They still need a lot of arti and equipment refine though, or different enchants. My OP/GF/DC is in the garage, I mostly test some stuff with them and maintain my knowledge about them, and reading their forums etc. so I can help others in my guild with their build ideas, or if very important, I farm influence with them. etc.

I myself have no Level 70 chars yet but wonder how much time you have to put in to do dailies and other stuff a day? On how many chars do you all do it at all? Is endgame time consuming or not so?

    Thanks a lot!

As a beginner, you can maintain only 2 chars maximum for dailies and campaign boons. If you have more, campaign grind will become too much and monoton, you will get bored soon. While boons are important, there is no reason to rush them, you should play whatever content you like, having fun is more important than grinding for someting.
I would suggest to focus your resources only one char with equipment refines first. If you have one char around 2,5-3k, managing alts will become much easier: so many items are account bound, and can be purchased by your main. If you have 2 chars, that have the majority of boons, you might think about leveling more. If you have time to farm stuff, you might also level new chars, because you can get more that 36000 refine a day, if you send the salvagable equipment to the others. So alts can quicken your progress, but you should only use them for refine, and focus on one main char.

If a new module comes, I only do the boon dailies with 2 chars. If they are ready, I switch to 2 other, or I will do it later. They will get the boons eventually, but there is no need to rush. I dont do dailies anymore with chars I do not use. I don't even use them to invoke or profession anymore, because the invoking prizes just not worth it.

You can progress like in any other games: either you spend money or time. If you have a lot of time, then you can farm a lot and progress well.
My story is truly a grand tale! Of course, any story about me is going to be grand simply by virtue of the main character.

8 level 70 characters, 6 just invoke and about 1 hour or so combined with the other 2. All have finished the EE storyline except my SW for obvious reasons. Bah on mod 6 :(
    Definitely not an Arc User.

4 - TR, GF, DC, OP. Campaigns fully finished on TR only, everywhere else I did just the stuff this particular class needed (like defense boons on GF). All of them are capable of pulling their weight in any content - mostly since TR as main has best gear and with current level of challenge other classes I have are useful and built around mostly for buffs - even poorly geared tanks can take hits in T2s now and with life steal nobody needs healing anymore, protective buffs are way better.

i do play 4 char regularly but i spend ads/money just on 2 of them, a hr and a tr. The others are still at icewindale campaign and i have no plans to bring them further. They are good for farming weeklies and dread ring for purple marks.
Both tr and hr are around 4k ilvl + companions and stuffs but far from being bis.
the power creep goes 4-5 times faster than me and the rng gives the final blow to my attempts.

i have 2 mains - HR and GF (both 3.3IL) and righterous cleric (2.4IL) for weeklies and dread ring lairs on top. The first idea of cleric was AD from pvp, but its gone luckily

i start my day with a couple of ELoL/VT runs (16k AD), move on to the DR dungeon and then spam ESoT...and if i still have time i do the Underdark skirmishes..

From the beginning of the game until around April last year, I played around half of my 30+ characters regularly at any given time which changed through out a given month, cycling between my characters. After wards however, when I do have time to play, I play only my oldest two characters with the occasionally adventure on one or two other characters.

My in-game reasoning include such things that I don't feel like re-grinding out all of my plethora of character's equipment again as most all have done that with their old set gear, as well as I don't run delves & skirms much anymore except on my main two characters, so I really have no reason to play more than a those characters. So, I stick to the characters that I have finished Spinward Rise and have gear viable to run any delve or skirmish, which is not very many.

However, the majority of the reason I play less is a massive change in living location and I work pretty much every day now. As well, most know that I rarely ever play just one MMO. I always have a second and sometimes third MMO that I indulge in and at present, I've been spending more time in another MMO while the nostalgia is still fresh. Normally for the past few years, those games have been NW, STO and ESO but as of late I've been checking out what has changed since I last played WoW instead of spending time in STO and ESO.

As I haven't played WoW for quite a few years, quite a lot has changed so I've gotten sucked into checking all that out on my main characters there in what little game-time I do get between work. As always, I'll end up leaving WoW when it gets old and going back to my main MMO in full force, which has been Neverwinter since Alpha and for the foreseeable future.
