I recommand everyone to run a warlock and cast some dots on someone using that ring, its a bit funny, only a bit because doing so you get frequently beamed 50 feet away in DOM from node 3 upwards on the higher ranks with your back to the wall looking down on the scene from far above, sometimes it saves your bu.d beeing "perma-knocked" sometimes you just can´t do anything being fixed at the wall helplessly every DOT-Tick one knockback, try capture a node like that
Last i heard PvP is broken itself, lol. Why change the ring that is working fine, it would affect PvE. I still say either remove it or give pvp its own server away from PvE. This way the toxic cesspool that pvp is will be in its own little world, as it should be.
How does it HELP in PvE? Are you one of those people who slot it in Demogorgon fight and repel it?

His point was more that every time they try to fix PvP the fix doesn't do anything about PvP being broken and PvE players have to deal with the consequences.
One just doesnt have those brilliant ideas casually
The PVP design in this game seems pretty flimsy and the devs have been beating it up pretty hard, starting with the snails, and untold slotted enchants, axebeaks and whatever. Now there are freaky rings most people salvage--but not in PVP!

Not to mention it's still the same two maps in PVP. At least Domination. Seriously could they not have made a couple more in the past 2+ years to add to the rotation for a bit more variety? Then again they only seem to nerf and take away stuff (AD.. dungeons, anyone?) and not add so I guess that makes sense. No need to break with tradition.
Having said that it really sucks how they tried to shoehorn PVP balancing along with PVE which only ends up making people on both sides suffer. This is the last RPG game I play that does that. Either have no PVP or have that as it's own unique thing.
Note: The last time I played PVP was before Underdark came out so there is a possibility they added another map or two since then. But I think I can pretty confidentially say that has not been the case.
You know I got pushed and launched way the hell up on a ledge in a corner in Rivenscar.. in a place I don't even think a TR could get. But with 30 repels forced down your throat in a few seconds, you can get there!

God no, i don't even use those rings, as they are all useless to me. No, simply put, i control and kill during first phase then DPS the ext 2 phases, I know how to play, thanks.
Besides I would rather kill things than push them away, kinda defeats the purpose.
So why you defend them? Its not WAI even in PvE. Im casual pvper but those rings making me avoid pvp for a while... I know some of my BiS pvp guildies deny to use them, so do I. PvP should be fun addiction to this game not broken sh... like now.

i am taking a break until that Cowardice ring and OP's DP gets fixed/reworked. I can still kill 99% of the ppl using that stupid ring, but it makes the fight very UNfun, so is Divine Protection... 20 seconds invincibility and only takes 15 seconds to gain enough AP to recast it again.... boring as HAMSTER

People quitting PvP due to other players exploiting broken mechanics isn't exactly new. For example, some TRs and GWFs used Terror enchantments before Feytouched became de rigeur for everyone -- and Terror was broken in the exact same way, with a root effect that would proc more often than intended.
Sometimes, the world offers a small way to exact justice against those bullies. Using a Cowardice Ring against someone that abused the same type of bugged effect from the Terror Enchantment against you in the past is justice, and all the sweeter the harder they complain -- because it just makes it clear how awesomely hypocritical they are.
And that makes you the biggest hypocrite, playing repel ring + ambush on your SW and CW (and die ofc) Terror was bugged in two way, maybe it proc'ed the root more often as you say (maybe because need proof) but the counter part was it didn't debuff at all. Now it's fixed.

it is not eaxctly fixed... procs about every 5 seconds last time I met someone wearing it

Yep. I was really surprised they didn't include EE when they put out NWO for XBOX from the start, so that people wouldn't have to go through so much AGAIN. Salvaging equipment, sudden loss of dungeons, etc. Really sadistic to the players, esp. when they'd only been playing a few months.
