What is the purpose oft using seering light instead of DG?
    I can 't see it..
DG is to strong in buffing and heals are ok
I pug quite a lot and in case you want to do things quick ,your role should be to buff the Party
    1. DG allways in every setup, it buffs , heals + AP gain if gift if haste feat active
    2. Empowered BtS buff is + 50% damage for the party vs your chains
    3. depending if a tank is on board you use AS (no tank) or BoH (AP) or healing word or searing light in case you did not take gift of haste

Gift of haste is very common in all most every build, playing faithfull virtous or rightous even PVP, I would say its a must habe what every you play
Some builds are able to refill your AP to full every 4 seconds , i think its a bug but can't say what produces it

Mod 6 needed full Healer mod 7 doesn't

PVP: AS if your Party is weak and a TR with high power build onehits you
Sunburst works quite good in most cases GF GWF on the fly..it is by sure not wasted, depends on situation
I try to use BtS as often as i can, if group is balanced its very nice
Otherwise i habe no problem to support my teammates being rightous atm and go with AS + DG+SB
Sunburst devine mode spends AP every cast in a big area , applies a dot ...TR comes out of stealth, cleanse your mates from negative effect, refills your AP and knocks back in normal version
My PVP setup is DG fix all time
    Support: DG SB BtS
Defensive: AS, DG, SB vor BoH
Offensive: DG BtS FF vor SL
AS depends on group you face because TR drops smokebomb GF Knocks you out as CW carries you 100feet all over the map, so in case you meat that group its wasted and only option is counter them with CC SB+devine BtS
Fighting a GWF AS is needed , DG + BtS and top to CC and debuff him

If you have a huge mob, searing light in divinity version will cause a quite large AoE, and proc weapon enchants, high prophet set, crits on everything, condemning gaze. When it pierces 2 enemies it'll cause an additional explosion that will also proc on everything hit.

It might not debuff mob damage or buff the party by 5% each hit, but it casts quickly, heals based on damage dealt, and can fully debuff a mob that's larger than 5 in which DG can only hit 5 anyway, and DG doesn't proc anything aside fire of the gods.

Good for getting through roadblocks, but swap it out for DG in boss fights cause it'll do you little good there.

Now, if you have a HR rounding them up with Gordon or MoF CWs using their daily, they all get nicely round up for a perfect debuff.

Im wondering about respecing my DC into Righteous for better dmg for my and my party, but since i got plague fire enchantment and it is not working with divine glow im not so sure about that. Before respec i would like to ask You about few things:

Does divine glow (normal and divine mode) activates Condemning gaze?
Does plague fire damage activates Condemning gaze?
Does plague fire damage over time activates Bear your sins?
Does divine glow activates Fire of the gods when hit critically?

For sure Ap Gain is really strong.

However, for RIDO crit build, i really doubt about AP gain in PVP, Fire of the Gods is much much better, and as part as Condemning is a must to have, so there is no place for AP gain (i would like to have both of them, just need 5 more feats pts ^^)
FoG is a CW-TR-HR-DC killing machine, almost all my kills in PVP are coming from it and Fog is a good source of dmg for PVE.

What artifacts would You reccomend for Righteous dc? DC sigil is obvious, but what about others? I'm using Tiamat set (nice stats, useful set bonus), is it good for righteous path? Does Lostmauth set makes any sense (i will be able to get about 30-35% critical chance)?

Got vanguard banner/lantern/DC sigil/lostmauth horn. Want lathander's eye. LS is a nice defense due to so many DoTs. The dread ring 5th boon for LS makes your health keep refilling over and over as you dance the night away.

I got full lol set and about 42% crit, 14.5% LS with augment on. About 2.2k ilvl wearing High Prophet, so easily achievable. Get over 16% LS putting my pvp gear back on.

I focus on PVE, i should be able to afford Lostmauth set and get it to epic in 1-2 months (curently im using Tiamat), it is not that expensive compared to other things (R10+ enchantments, good weapon and armor enchantments etc).
I will probably stuck around R 8/9 enchants for some time, and thinking about black ice ench (power/crit/recovery, all what DC likes).

Eh, I stuck with azures. You spam most things through divinity which recovery does nothing for. Slap on an augment, 12000 power is fine enough for me.

Since Plague fire is not working with divine glow (my main spell in normal and divine mode) what other weapon ench would You suggest? Does Terror working with divine glow?

The only weapon enchant that works properly with Divine Golw is Vorpal.

Also unlike indicated above one thing Divine Glow does proc, in both divine and normal mode, is High Prophet stacks.

you need to max your HP and use more empwer
this thing got some threshold, at some point even ice knife can't hit you

Is templar domain any good, i was told is better to just to raise armor penetration the normal way, same with piercing light, is it better to have this feats for pvp, or why do you consider them important?

Last I checked (early mod 6), Templar's Domain had a very high internal cooldown. Like 2 mins+ per proc.
Unless they changed that (wouldn't hold my breath but it would be nice if someone on preview could check, after all there have been a few subtle changes over the last few months) then it's going to be about as useful as Initiate of the Faith.

Piercing Light is more of a PvP feat.
PvP is generally imbalanced. As things currently are, extreme survivability trumps ArP/damage amplification. Assuming the surviving part is already covered by your friendly allied OPs/Virtuous or Faithful DCs, however, then your main job in PvP is killing stuff and damage amplification, with some control and defensive utility (the occasional BoH, AS, AA, Hallowed Ground, etc).
Obviously you're screwed in the damage dealing department if your ArP isn't sky high to begin with, because that's just how important ArP is to Righteous in PvP. Things would be different if DCs had a stat that affected the Resistance Ignored rating, attacks/feats that allowed us to ignore DR (eg. piercing damage) or a spammable prone ability (Guardian of Faith definitely doesn't count) but we don't.

Considering how even Faithful/Virtuous DCs do have some damage amplification abilities, then if you're not doing enough damage as Righteous you might as well be an "ordinary" DC in PvP.

You there. New to the game? Feeling overwhelmed? Maybe you think getting to end-game is impossible for a casual player like yourself, or maybe you just need to be around a community that helps each other stay sane and competitive with the latest news, current trends, random chitchat and most of all LEGIT (that is, we try to keep things fair) gameplay. If you don't mind being around quirky people and the rare occasional drama (one of our prominent TR members is apparently a mafia godfather) join nw_legit_community at http://www.nwlegitcommunity.shivtr.com/forum_threads/2330542.

Hey all been reading all these fine posts and wanted add my build in

Im NOVA 3.2 IL total dps RiDC I do not heal :) buff debuff dps is the role I have chosen I was not always this way sometimes at lower level or with lesser party I do throw out some heals but probably 1 time out of 300 runs
    Helps to have good guild/party
I have found that a 100% RiDO can pretty much do all things nessesary except AP gain I can dps and pretty much out heal any other healer type due to high power and crit
So basically im saying if you wanna have to most fun and be the most diverse DC in game RIDO ( with or without heal feats )
This is my main toon I find RiDO DC the funnest class to play because it can do it all.

My powers include DG chains FF or BtS DL DPS wise I chose from that list its a heavy buff debuff with good dps a little control as well

Never had a problem soloing never had a problem healing epic dungeons I find not a lot of use for other paths except AP gain which you could always lower dps output by some degree and gain AP gain which would make you the most dynamic DC you can be. Also Im mostly PVE My 2 cents Have fun play safe :)

Yes all those you listed arcofortep12 are in use and the powers i listed are not swapped in that order usually i run DG chains FF for damage and good buffs and AP gain is good and swap DL with chains for some extra damage and BtS for FF both r very good and yes i love FF awesome power and fire of the gods well its a must as a dps dc its usually at the top of the damage list
sorry if i confused you all

What do you think of sacred flame and brand of the sun?
  • putzboy78putzboy78 Member, NW M9 Playtest Posts: 1,950 Arc User
    sacred flame = HAMSTER
Brand of the Sun doesn't give as much damage as Lance of Faith however there are some scenarios where it is useful:
    1) It's a DOT and therefore can trigger Bear Your Sins for 10% debuff
    2) Build divinity over time so excess divinity can be made while using diving powers

So Brand of the Sun is more of a personal preference and may not net you the most damage in the long run
  • armando89plarmando89pl Member Posts: 14 Arc User
Brand of the Sun is nice when You need to run a lot (like demogorgon or epic demogorgon), You can cast few BotS and keep runig and your divinity will rise. Also BotS is nice when you play solo - You cast BotS at 1-2 big minions at the begining of fight and it should do it's full DoT.

i think the new ambush rings creates interesting possibilities for using dots in PVP coupled with punishing light

could change how righteous DCs do PVP, but I havent had a chance to experiment with it yet
